The flight landed and Aditi breathed in the freshness of her hometown. No matter how happy you are in your life, how busy you are with your career and how many parties you get to attend to, nothing- literally nothing can replace the feeling of being back in your hometown engulfed in nostalgia. All our tensions and worries get dissolved in that homely feeling. Isn't that why every one of us long to go home taking a break from your education or profession?
Zain shook his head at this childish Aditi in front of him. She has been continuously bantering about her childhood and the places in Bikaner which was her all time favorite. Even after hiring a cab to go home, she was continuously pointing at the minute things on the way. She had a connecting story with everything present there. After all, she had spent he best part of her life there. Zain clicked her pictures randomly without her knowledge. May be more than her, he was savoring this adorable side of his co-star which he rarely got to see. Engrossed in his thoughts, he smiled to himself and looked at Aditi.
Zain: Beautiful... (being lost in her)
Aditi(looked at him): Hmm?
Zain(coming out of his trance): Bikaner! Bikaner is beautiful...
Aditi(smiled): Yes. It is!
Zain: You will take me out na?
Aditi: Arey ofcourse! Ye bhi koi poochne ki baat hai? (Is this something to ask even?)
Aditi: Arey Bhaiyya! Maine tho aapko street naam bataya tha. Aapne tho seedhe ghar ke saamne hi car rok diye! Kaise? (I just told you the street name. You stopped the car exactly in front of my house. How?)
Driver: Bikaner me aap ka ghar kaun nahi jaanta madam ji? (Who in Bikaner doesn't know your house madam ji?)
Aditi smiled at this realization. Mahn! She was an actress- not a struggling one! but, a pretty famous one! Zain smiled at the driver and paid the taxi fare.
Driver: Saab. Ye leejiye balance. (Sir! Here is the balance)
Zain: Aap rakh lo bhaiyya.. (Keep the change brother)
Driver: Shukriya saab. Aaj ki aakhiri kamai hai. Raat bahot ho gayi hai na.. (Thankyou sir. This is the last earning today. Its late night na)
Zain(nodded): Yes! Its late. Thanks bhaiyya and Good night!
Driver: Good night.
Aditi and Zain took the luggage and proceeded towards the gate. Just then, the driver called them from back.
Driver: Saab!
They turned around at once to face the driver.
Zain: ji?
Driver: Wo...
Aditi: Kya hua bhaiyya? Kahiye na..
(What happened brother? Say it)Driver: Bahot achi jodi hai aap donon ki.. Bhagwan kare aap donon hamesha saath rahe.. salamat rahe.. Good Night.
(You make a great pair. May you stay together forever hale and hearty)And he drove off from there. Aditi looked at Zain while he blinked his eyes with a nod.
Zain: Chalo Chalo.
(Come. Come)It was a two storeyed building painted in white and blue. Sky blue curtains of the courtyard fluttered in the wind. The house seemed to be a blend of traditional Marwari culture and the modern household. A tulsi plant stood in the courtyard with a small diya in front of it. The gate was open and Zain couldn't help but notice how much homely vibes her house gave him. He noticed every single thing there as described by her during her banters. The terrace, the metal stairs to terrace, a little cot and cushions in the courteyard to sit and talk...everything seemed to be just the way she told. She held his hand and stealthily moved to the front door. She knocked on the door and a female voice responded from inside.
