yo, yo, yo loves 💛
how do you get over a broken heart?
my heart isn't broken just preparing for the futureI sat in the almost empty classroom and stared at his back as he moved across the board. Rowen, he was my target and he led tutoring. This class for people who were bombing one or more classes. He went over all subjects.
It was annoying to have to be failing a class to get closer to him, but I didn't have any other way to get closer to him.
As much as I wanted to seduce him, I was also curious.
I wanted to know how much he knew about his ex.
Did he know how much she actually hated me?
"Does that make sense?" He asked, and turned to face the five people in the classroom. He was met with nothing but empty gazes. He let out a frustrated sigh and ruffled his wavy black hair that framed his head perfectly. "Ok, which part is confusing?"
"The part where you speak." Sarah said, her gaze stuck on her phone screen. She was like a fucking mannequin. She never looked away from her phone.
"Maybe, if you would get off your fucking phone." Hom said. I glanced over at him. He clearly did not want to be here. He pushed back his curly black hair and flared straight ahead.
Rowen sighed and then turned his gaze straight at me. I swallowed nervously. I'd never known his gaze was so intense. He didn't say anything and just turned around to explain the next problem. He lifted his hand to start writing it on the board when it dropped and he turned back around, eyes directly on me.
"You explain it."
I swallowed, and I couldn't tell if I was actually nervous or not.
I pushed my seat back and rose quickly.
As I approached him, I noted the way his gaze never left my own. He was so...powerful. How Evelyn had ever gotten him was mystery to me, but the fact that he was the only one she truly loved made sense to me.
I took the expo marker from his hand and our fingers brushed.
I inhaled and turned towards Rowen.
"What's the problem?"
He told me what it was and slowly, but at a good pace I worked through it. I made sure to also explain every step outloud to the rest of the rejects in this classroom.
When I was done I took a step away from the board and Rowen took the marker from my hand gracefully and whispered so only I could hear it: "You don't belong in this class, Trian."
I tried not to roll my eyes.
Fucking obviously.
I was a smart woman...
that just needed to get revenge on her evil best friend.
After class I loitered, packing up my stuff slowly. I watched Rowen carefully. I needed to figure out how exactly to seduce him.
I was wearing adidas pants and a black tank top with a little bit of cleavage showing. Not exactly a schoolgirl outfit but it was something.
I pulled my hair down from its ponytail and swung my bag onto my back, approaching him normally.
"Wanna grab a bite to eat? We can catch up." In reality, we'd never been friends. When they'd dated we never really hung out anymore since she was dating him so that meant I also didn't see him. I'd only ever seen him with his tongue down Eve's throat.
He looked up at me and I swear he looked almost taken aback.
"Ok."
I grinned a little.
Perfect.
