Rose awoke of her own accord, to sunlight pouring into the room through a gap in the drawn curtains. It was clear to see, without even looking at the time that her room was on the Eastern side of the house. After blinking a few times, to bring her sight into focus, she picked up her phone that was resting on the bedside table. Unfortunately the battery hadn't lasted the night, so she wasn't unable to check the time.

She dressed quickly, making a note to ask Rich if he could take her to a supermarket, as she needed some toiletries, including and most importantly a toothbrush. As quietly as she could she unlocked the door and stepped out onto the hallway. She turned back to the door as she pulled it gently behind her, lifting the handle so that the eventual click the door would make of closing, would be as quiet as possible. She then turned back around and bumped straight into Rich coming out of a door almost opposite her own.

"Sorry Rose!" he said alarmed. A towel was wrapped around his shoulders and he was wearing black shorts and a grey t-shirt. His hair being wet, it was clear to see that he had been doing some exercise.

"Nothing to be sorry for," she smiled and held up her phone to him, "I was just wondering if there was any means to charge my phone?" She briefly looked up at him, smiled and then looked past him in the direction he had just come from, and Rich followed her eyes.

"Oh," he laughed, "My father has an indoor gym, and how can I not take advantage of that when I stay?" he laughed again.

"Of course," Rose shrugged mocking him slightly. "I mean a gym is fine, not everyone can have a pool." she laughed, then realised she may have been a little too patronising.

Rich smiled, his brilliant teeth sparkling back at her, which reminded her to ask for her favour of the day.

"Erm, Rich I don't suppose you could run me into the nearest town, there are a few things I need."

"Oh?" he seemed worried suddenly. "We have most things that would be needed for guests. You'll find Sarah in the kitchen soon, if you need anything, and I mean anything at all, please ask her, and if not I can run you down to town before lunch. She will definitely have a few chargers lurking in the kitchen, that's for sure. I'd go and see her, she will fix you up with some breakfast and anything else you might need. I'll be down after I've cleaned up." He gestured to his attire and indicating that he would need to shower, with that he walked past her, still holding her with his smile.

Rose watched him walk down the hallway, past the banister of the stairs and down to the other end of the house. The light from the far window silhouetting his frame until he turned off out of sight through a doorway to his right. It was now that Rose realised how large this house really was. Walking slowly along the soft deep green carpet of the hallway, to both keep quiet and to take in the decor of the house in the day, she made her way down the stairs. The house seemed eerily quiet, which made her feel more nervous than she already was. She was used to staying in hotels whilst working, but this...this was different. This was someone's home. A very posh home. It was also Rich's father's house. Although she had bumped into Rich whilst staying in the hotel, she was far more likely to here. As his sweaty appearance had just proved. This wasn't work, this was personal!

As she reached the bottom stair, she eventually heard some movement, other than bumping into Rich and their conversation that is. Tucking her phone into her back pocket she followed the sounds into the house and behind the stairs whereupon she came to the kitchen, which was open planned. Not even a doorway to the entrance, allowing the kitchen to easily be the main focus of the house. A large kitchen table with 8 chairs were set in front of her as she stood there in the entrance, slightly nervous as to who she would meet there. As the three windows were along the western side of the house, the room was lit with the main interior lights from the ceiling. As she looked to her right the wall ran across the width of the kitchen and hall together. Small box windows ran along the top of this wall, to allow light to come through. Despite the amount of windows in this house she was disappointed with the amount of light that came into the house. She silently wished she could have a chat and give a good telling off to the architect who designed this house. You could take the girl out of the work, but you couldn't take the work out of the girl!
