It was Saturday evening and Georgie was sitting in the living room with Jessica working on their homework.

Jessica glanced at the time on her phone. "Shouldn't you be getting ready for your date?" She asked.

"Yeah, what time is it?" Georgie asked, setting her binder on the coffee table and stretching her arms over her head.

"Five something."

Georgie sighed and walked into her room to get ready. She grabbed her clothes (since she was in her pajamas) and went into the bathroom. After brushing through her dark brown hair and changing into a red flannel with a black tank top and ripped skinny jeans, she walked out of the bathroom. She put her shoes on and grabbed her phone from the charger.

"Do you know where my necklace is?" Georgie asked, walking back into the living room.

"Um... which one?" Jessica asked, not looking up from the essay she was writing.

"The one with the little diamond heart."

"Oh, that one. You had asked me to fix it, remember? And I threw it across the room when I picked it up because I didn't realize it was real silver."

"Oh, right. Sorry." Georgie winced.

"It's fine. It just burned a little, just left a red mark since it's not completely silver. But I fixed it and it's on the coffee table."

"Thanks." Georgie thought for a moment but decided that silver wasn't a good choice to wear and went with a simple gold necklace instead.

Georgie fell back onto the couch and let out a sigh. She stared at the TV in hopes she could distract herself from feeling really nervous.

"Nervous?" Jessica asked with a smile.

"Me? Never. Since when have I ever been nervous?" Georgie scoffed. Jessica threw a cushion at her head.

"If it makes you feel better, I'm sure Jake is nervous too."

"It doesn't, but okay."

Jessica rolled her eyes. She then looked up at Georgie and grinned. "He's on this floor."

"What?" Georgie checked her phone to see that it was 5:47 pm. "No! He's early!"

"Isn't that a good thing?" Jessica asked, standing up and stretching.

"No, I'm not ready! Don't let him in until it's six!" Georgie exclaimed.

"Oh my goodness, calm down. It's fine." Jessica walked towards the door and opened it right as Jake raised his fist to knock.

"Hey, Jessica," Jake smiled, stepping inside and looking around. "Nice place."

Georgie quickly stood and took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves.

Jake's smile widened when he saw Georgie.

"Hey," he said. "You look really nice."

"Thanks... um, so do you."

Jessica cringed from behind Jake and Georgie gave her a look.

"Ready to go?" He asked.

"Yes, she is. Georgie don't forget your key because I won't let you in if it's after twelve. Have fun!"

Jake took Georgie to a small restaurant for dinner where they talked about their childhood.

Georgie found out Jake had two little sisters who were twins. Before they were born, he had a cousin who used to stay with Jake a lot. They were like brothers. But they grew apart when he was sent to a jail for werewolves. Georgie thought it was pretty coincidental that Jake's brother and her ex both went to jail in the same grade, but she didn't say that aloud. That was the last thing she wanted to do; talk about her ex. Especially on a date.
