Red and blue lights of the many police cars illuminated the dark night along with the lights of the ambulance. Georgie eventually got out of the car after Jessica arrived and told her it was safe enough to get out.

But Georgie wished she didn't get out of the car.

The sight and smell of the blood were almost too overwhelming for Georgie. She had to turn her back to the mutilated body or else she'd most likely throw up, and Jake didn't need to see how weak she was when it came to a gory sight.

Jake was absolutely mortified when he saw his mother's body lying on the ground. He almost couldn't recognize her. He had turned over the car so it was sitting on all four wheels and ripped the door off the driver's side just to drag his father out. Luckily he was okay except for the giant gash on his forehead and a few broken bones.

Vincent had to be rushed to the hospital immediately in order to get the proper treatment he needed in order to wake up. Jake didn't go to the hospital with him though, it was as if he was frozen in his spot which was on the hood of his car where he had been for the last fifteen minutes. The werewolf police tried questioning him but they got no answer out of him not that he knew much anyways.

Georgie had been talking to an officer but the whole time she kept glancing at Jake wanting to walk over there and comfort him as best as she could. Finally, the officer took the hint that she didn't want to talk anymore and walked over to Jessica instead.

Georgie quickly went over to where Jake was and stood in front of him.

"Hey, Jake," Georgie said trying to get his attention. He slowly looked up and locked gazes with her. "Come here."

Georgie opened her arms and Jake slowly leaned into them. They wrapped their arms around each other as Jake lowered his head on Georgie's shoulder. She slowly and gently rubbed his back as he finally broke down, letting his emotions pour out.

"She's gone," Jake's voice sounded so broken it pained Georgie to hear him in such a way.

"I know, I'm so sorry something like this had to happen," Georgie didn't know what to say so she stayed quiet for the rest of the time he cried on her.

When Jake raised his head up Georgie gently wiped his tear-stained face with her thumb, letting her hands linger on the side of his face. She gave him a tender smile and leaned closer to give him a soft kiss on the lips.

"What do you want to do now? Do you want to get your sisters?"

"No, I'm going to call their friend's mom to see if they can stay the night tonight. I'll tell them tomorrow, I don't want them to see this sight, they're too young."

"Okay, that's fine. We can go back to your place and you can rest up before going to the hospital to see your dad."

"I want to see him," Jake whispered.

"I know Jay, you will see him, definitely. We can just wait a few minutes until he's stable and you can rest your body. I know you're tired."

"Okay," Jake nodded his head and rested it back on Georgie's shoulder.

They stayed there for a moment longer until Jessica walked over.

"I'm going to be heading to the pack to tell the Alpha about this and then I'll go to the hospital, text me when you two get there," Jessica told Georgie.

"I will. We're going to go back to his house to let Jake rest and we'll be on our way to the hospital too."

Jessica nodded her head and walked away, going in the direction she came from. Georgie didn't see the car so she had no idea how Jessica would be getting anywhere except walking.
