Yes Clary?

Now or Never

 Clarissa's P.O.V.

"Are you out of your fucking mind?" Andy asked me. "I literally just got you back. I can't risk losing you again." 

"And I could never forgive myself if any of you guys get hurt. Especially you Andy." I walked closer to him. "I would rather die fighting for you instead of sitting back watching from afar. This whole adventure my life has been since I've gotten here has been one hell of an experience. Crap, you wouldn't even be in this position if I wasn't a vampire or if my family never signed my name away." I saw the pain flash in his eyes as he relived every memory. I grabbed onto his hand and closed my eyes. I thought of the time we were at that witch's house, Morise. We were both laying in bed and fell asleep peacefully. I thought about transferring that memory over to Andy. When I opened my eyes he had the biggest grin on his face. 

"Clarissa, you truly are a gift," He said and kissed me. 

"I'd say get a room but we don't have time for that." Ashley joked. "No matter how much I hate to say it, Clarissa is right. She is probably the only one who can defeat him. We would just be getting in the way." After Ashley said that there was a minute of solid silence. No one knew what to do. 

"I have a plan!" Jake said. "It involves all of us. We need to make it seem as if no one is home and catch him by surprise. If we can hold him back long enough Clary can swoop in and do what she does best....what is that exactly?" Jake asked me. 

"Um, I'm not sure. I usually don't know what to do until I'm faced with a scary situation." I replied.

"Well that sounds very reliable." Jake said.

"Come on, she just saved her mom when she claimed she had no clue what she was doing. She's got this." Andy said and squeezed my hand. 

"Us bickering back and forth is not going to solve our problem. We need to act now or we are going to be toast. We need eyes on every corner of the woods. We have no clue which way he can come from." I said. "So, all of you disperse and go find a comfy spot to take watch. I will be in here dramatically pacing back and forth until he busts that door down or if he is kicking your asses. If any of you see him approaching, clap three times and don't worry, I will be able to hear it." All of them obeyed and went outside. Andy gave me a long hug before he left. I could feel his hesitation in leaving me by myself but he knew that I would not let him stay in here with me. 

When I was all by myself I started to pace. Every inch of my body was running with adrenaline but my brain was telling me to run. I can't back out of this though. I need to end it here once and for all. 

I quickly checked in with Magda to make sure she was ok. I also let her in on what we were doing. She wished me luck and told me to be safe. After that I closed the door to the infirmary and moved a bookcase in front of the door. I don't want James getting close to my mother again. 

"All of you, are really stupid," I jumped at the sound of the voice. I quickly turned around and James was standing right by the staircase. 

"How did you get in here?" I asked alarmed. 

"Honey, I was here the whole time. I just wanted to wait until we were alone to show myself. I need to propose one more opportunity to you and I know that would be impossible with all those horrid people in here. Anyways, I am giving you one more chance. I believe that you would be a great asset. With your strength and power, we could take over the world." James said with an evil look in his eye. "We could have everyone bowing down to our feet and do everything at our command. If you agree to this, I won't hurt any of your friends. But, If you don't comply I will kill every single one of them and hold you against your own will. Maybe corrupt your brain again and you will be doing everything I want you to do. So what do you say Clarissa." He held out his hand to me. I can't accept that offer. I don't care about ruling the world. That sounds like a crap ton of bullshit. But I can't have James kill my family. I just got them back there was no way I was losing them again. 

I looked James right in the eye and and grabbed his hand. He looked surprised but pleased at the same time. 

"You made a good choice Clarissa," James said.

"No," I said and took a slight pause. "You made the wrong one." I grabbed his arm with my other hand and flipped him over. His body crashed onto the ground with a loud thud. He was stunned for two seconds but got right back up. He rushed at me and grabbed my neck. He pinned me to the wall and started to choke me. 

"YOU BITCH!" He roared. His hand tighten around my throat. It felt like my throat was going to crush into pieces. I quickly did what any girl would have done, I kneed him right in the balls. I dashed for the door and ran outside hoping that one of the guys would see me. I could feel James right on my heels. I dropped down onto the ground and he tripped right over me. I think I heard Jake yelling for help but I wasn't paying attention to that. I needed to keep my focus on James. He got back up and turned to face me. He looked like a mad man. He charged at me and pushed me with all of his strength. I went flying and crashed into the side of the house. My whole body went numb with pain as I was lying on the ground. 

"Leave her be!" Andy yelled at James while he ran at him.

"ANDY NO!" I screamed. James choke slammed Andy onto the ground. James brought his arm up and slammed it into his chest. I ran towards them and started screaming. I ripped James off of Andy seconds before he had the chance to rip his heart out. "You never touch him!" I yelled and punched James in the middle of the face. He belted out a laugh and tackled me to the ground. He pinned my hands down with one of his arms.

"You know it really is a shame. I really wish I didn't have to kill you Clarissa." James said as he stroked the side of my face. It was then and there that I remembered what Morise had said. When I bit Ashley, the bite could have gotten infected. I can inject venom or some shit like that. Before I could act James plunged his hand into my chest. 

"Wait!" I cried out as I choked on blood.

"Jesus what is it." 

"You're the bitch James," I whispered and raised my head to his neck. My fangs sank deep into his neck. His blood tasted like crap but I kept drinking. He pulled his hand out of my chest trying to push himself off me. When I felt his grip loosen on my hands, I pulled them out of his and wrapped my arms around him so he could not escape. I pushed my teeth harder into his neck and he let out a piercing shriek. When his body started shaking I stopped and pushed him off of me. He was having a major seizure on the ground. I wiped my mouth on my sleeve as I watched him suffer. 

"That was some bad ass shit right there!" Chris said as he approached me. 

"Yea thanks for the help," I said. 

We both watched in silence until James stopped moving. Hopefully he was dead.
