Today is my birthday!! And I am over the moon!

"Adriana!" Rinaldo yelled for me from outside the room. "Quit writing in that book of yours and come outside right now!"

"Okay! Okay!" I yelled back and closed my book locking it away in my safe.

I went to the door and opened it, getting bombarded with a hug.

"Happy Birthday lil' sis!" He exclaimed and hugged me tighter.

"Thank you Aldo!" I said excitedly and hugged me back.

He held me at arms lenght and smiled at me. "I can't believe that this is your first birthday that you are sharing with us." He looked at me with so much emotion and I felt tears welling up.

"Hey, don't cry." He said looking a little panicked and wiped away a few tears that escaped. "Today is your birthday, you supposed to be happy."

"I am happy." I said so overwhelmed with emotions. "I am very happy that I am here with my family." I choked.

I jumped into his arms and hugged him tight. I sobbed and he just held me trying to comfort me.

I eventually stopped crying and he smiled, wiping away my tears. "Gosh you cried so much, I thought you were going to cry all the water out of your body." He laughed.

I laughed and playfully hit his arm. "Shut up, you know you love me." I smiled and he chuckled, rolling his eyes and muttered a yes.

"Come on now, everyone is waiting downstairs for you." He smiled and I smiled back at him.

We both walked down the hall and down the staircase to the living room where everyone seemed to be gathered.

As soon as I stepped into the living room everyone erupted in cheers and started singing 'Happy Birthday' for me and then came the round of birthday wishes from everyone.

There was a lot of joy and cheers and wishes and I was so overwhelmed and so were my aunts and grandmother. It was a pretty big deal since I am the only girl and this is my first birthday that I am spending with them after 21 years.

"Adri..." Adriano called coming towards me as everyone went their separate ways to prepare for the party that will be held later.

"Yes Ano?" I responded a bit worried.

"It's time to go to Xavier's house." He announced and I nodded, giving him a small smile before following him out the house and down to the car.

We got in and he drove off to Martino house.

We finally arrived at the house and to say that it was just a house was an understatment.

It was huge! Just like our house or should I say palace?

This was the first time I visited Xavier's family home. I have met his family already but sadly his mother passed away a few years ago.

He says that she would have loved me, even more than Alexander and himself.

"Adriana stop staring it is not polite." Adriano scolded and I felt like a little girl again. Trust Adriano to be the proper one from all of us, well him and Leandro they are so mature and perfect.

I scowled at the thought.

"Don't make your face like that you look like a monkey." He shook his head and pinched the bridge of his nose when I stuck my tongue out at him.
