Ch 5

Nikki's pov
"Soooo how are you and Colby" Kat said as she sat on the couch. I rolled my eyes hiding my smile.
"There is no me and Colby. We are friends" I said sitting next to her. I changed the channel to I don't even know but it was some show.
"You like him he likes you there is a you and Colby" she said to me. I sighed shaking my head.
"No Katrina. He is going with some girl named Shea today. Pretty sure he likes her" I said.
"He doesn't like her though" she hummed.
"Kat yes he does. I can tell" I told her. She shook her head disagreeing with me.
   "I'll prove it to you" she said standing up. She grabbed her purse and put her shoes on. I looked at her confused.
     "Let's go. We are going over there and asking him lets go" she said opening the door. I sighed knowing she wouldn't let it go if I didn't go with her. She would do it either way.
   I got my shoes and my phone and followed her. We took my car and were there in like ten minutes. We got out and I sighed looking at her. She just smiled as we walked in.
    "Corey where is Colby" kat said as we went into the kitchen. He pointed up stairs and we walked up stairs towards his room. She pushed me towards his door and I took a breathe before turning the door job opening the door.
     "Oh my god I a uh I'm sorry!" I said closing the door quickly.
I turned walking away quickly down the steps. Katrina knew what I'd seen. Hell she was right behind me.
     Colby in bed with that girl. We weren't together so I didn't have the right to be mad. But I did have the right to be hurt.
    "Nikki wait" Katrina said as I opened the front door going to my car quickly. I opened the car door and locked myself in my car starting it. I figured Katrina could get a ride for sam but I wanted to be alone.
    I pulled out of the driveway just as sam pulled in. I drove as far away as I could. My heart breaking little by little. Why did I feel this way. Now I remember why I don't fuck with anyone anymore. 
    After about an hour of driving I ended up at the beach. The sun was setting and I just sat down on the sand watching the waves go up then down.
Colby's pov
     "Shit shea" I said as I got up quickly. We were going to pull a prank on the boys so they thought we were doing something but instead Nikki walked in.
   I quickly got up running down the steps. Corey looked at me confused pointing towards the door.
     I ran out of the door to see Katrina standing talking to Sam. She looked upset, mad and when she saw me she looked like she was about to strangle me.
     "Where did she go?" I asked approaching her.
"What the actual fuck Colby. Why would you do that to her?!" She said getting loud. I ran a hand through my hair.
   "It was a prank! Sam was supposed to walk in not her" I sighed looking at the gate.
"Well she did. You just broke her heart. She fucking likes you and now she is probably somewhere crying" she said. Wait. She likes me? I just fucked up so much
     "Well let me fix it where the fuck is she Katrina!" I yelled. She thought for a moment.
  "She probably went to the beach. She always goes there when shit like this happens" she said to me. I ran in and got my keys going after Nikki.
     It took me two hours to find where she was. I looked for her car and found it after two  fucking hours.
   I walked the beach till I saw her sitting there just staring out at the water.
Nikki's pov

        "Nikki" I heard a voice say. I looked over seeing Colby. I looked away quickly going to get up and walk away asap.
    Before I could he grabbed my arm turning me around. I tried to look away from him because I didn't want him to see me cry. I looked away only for him to grab my face making me look at him.
    "Nikki it was a prank. It wasn't real, sam was supposed to walk in, not you. She's just my friend I swear to you. When you walked in instead of sam my heart dropped. I never meant to hurt you like that. It was a prank and I can prove it. I feel awful" He told me Making me look down at the ground away from his eyes.
     "It doesn't matter we aren't together" i said quietly.
"I want to be" he said. I looked up right as he did something that shocked me.
    He grabbed my face and he kissed me. I was so taken back but when I realized what was happening my hands found their way to his chest.
     We kissed for a good minute before pulling away. I looked into his eyes and I could tell he meant it.
     Maybe I was wrong.
