July 2nd. My baby shower for my little angel. Today actually. My friend Amy and I were setting up the shower at her house and guest arrive at noon. I know you're all probably wonder what happened with Jake. WELL GIRLLLL no I'm just kidding. We agreed to wait till the baby gets here to try anything. But he has been helping me an awful lot. With everything! My mom came in about three days ago and my step dad also came which made me very happy. "Honey where does this go?" My mom asked me holding up some balloons. I looked around then at the glass door leading to the back where everything was. Outside. "Put them on each side of the glass doors please. Thank you mom" I smiled. She smiled walking away. I set up the plates and stuff and made sure the food was ready. Jake had gone to get me the cake. I had gotten a girl who just got her business started to do it. She was so talented and she wasn't that busy which wtf like she's way to talented not to be busy ya know. But I guess since she just got her business up and running not a lot of people knew about her. "Hey I'm back!" Jake yelled out. I turned walking over eager to look at the cake. I opened the box when he set it down and my heart melted. It was so pretty.

"She is so talented isn't she?!" I asked Jake. He nodded. We put the cake in the fridge and then made sure everything was in place. I went to walk into the kitchen then heard my mom talking. I stopped next to the door and listened. "Thank you for helping me and helping my daughter out. I really appreciate it. It means a lot and I can tell you're a good guy Jake" she said. I smiled a bit. I heard them walking so I quickly acted as if I didn't hear a dang word. "Oh hey" I smiled. "You look cute" my mom said with a smile. "Thanksssssss" I said. I was wearing a strapless dark blue romper with some sandals. My brown hair was curly and I had on a little makeup. "People should be-" my mom started but was cut off by the door bell. "Arriving" she finished. We giggled and Jake offered to get it. "I'm proud of you" she said hugging me. My mom supported my dumbass through a lot. (I don't remember if she has siblings in this or if I gave her any but we will say she has like two alright) "Where is the fat lady" I heard a familiar voice. Known as my sister Amanda. She was older than me. She was 28. I was 20. "There she issssssss, look how cute you look" she said setting a wrapped gift down and hugging me. She'd gotten in yesterday. "Thanks Amanda" I laughed. Her and my mom were talking and more guest came in. My other sister showed up and she was 24. Her name was Jess. "Girls I want a picture of you guys!" My mom said pulling out her phone. We all stood together me in the middle and they each put a hand on my stomach and my hands when on their backs. "Nikki!" I heard my name. I turned around and so did my sisters and I saw Kat. I walked over hugging her. "Where's Sam?" I asked her. "He is getting his gift from the car" she said. I nodded and we talked a bit and she went to say hi to my sisters. "Nikki can I take a photo with you out in the back?" Amy asked me. I nodded "Hey mom. Can you come take this photo for us?" I asked. My mom nodded and we went outside. We had set up the sparkly pink sheet outside and then there was a big rose bush too. We took one at both. "Send those to mwah" I said. She nodded sending them. "Nikki you look beautiful!" My friend Brandi said hugging me. "Thank you!" I said. We talked a bit about my due date and the baby. I hadn't been asked once why Colby wasn't there so thank god. "When are you due?" I got asked by my other friend Nicole. "October 1st" I said. She made an ohhh face and I nodded. Jake was talking to the boys and every now and then I'd catch him looking at me. I'd smile and he would smile back. "Devyn!!! I'm so glad you made it" I said hugging her. "I wouldn't miss this for the world!" She said. "If y'all want a picture with the fat lady she is standing next to the picture thing!" My sister yelled. "Amanda Lin" my mom said putting a hand on her head. My sister giggled and I laughed. "I remember why I love not having kids at home now" she told my step dad. He laughed and then I took a photo with them. I took photos for a good hour before we brought out the cake. "Kayyyyy time for presents sit down" jess said bringing out a chair. I sat down and Jake and my mom sat next to me. "This is is from Devyn and Corey" Jake said handing it to me. I opened it and it was clothes. Dresses and skirts. They were supper cute "Aweeee these are so adorable thank you so much!" I said showing my mom. She set them back down in the box and we moved on. I mainly got clothes, shoes, bottles. I did get a stroller from Sam which was really sweet. "I got you this" my sister Amanda yelled handing me a car seat. I looked at it and stood up hugging her. "Thank you sis" I said sitti back down. "Jess got you this" she said giving me a bad. Inside there were a bunch of socks and gloves. "Yes!!!! Thank you" I said putting them back into the bag. "This one doesn't have a name but here!" She said handing me a box with pink rapper. I opened it and it was books and clothes with mommy s girl. And a blanket. Inside the blanket was all my pictures. From when I was first pregnant. With me and Colby to just me. I looked up at Sam and Kat and that's when I knew who it was from. It was from Colby. "This is a very sweet gift" I said putting it back. We finished and then it was time to eat the cake. Thank god. I'd been wanting it since I saw it. After that we finished and everyone left. My mom and sisters help me get everything in my car then my mom said her and Dan had another gift. "Alright Jakes gunna drive your car and your gunna ride with us" she explained. I nodded confused. I got in the car and they put a blind fold on me. Oh god was all I could think. I felt us turn so many times before the car stopped. The door opened and I felt a hand grab my and one hand on my back. I got out the car and I was stopped. "You can take your blindfold off" they said. I took it off and was standing in front of a door in a apartment complex. My apartment complex. "Surprise!" My mom said holding up some keys. It took me a minute to catch on. "What's the surprise" I smiled making everyone laugh. "Well everyone put in to rent you this apartment so there's a room for the baby" she said. "No! No! What! Omg thank you so much I can't even" I said starting to get teary eyed. My mom and step dad hugged me. My mom went out of her way to help me get my own apartment. I can't wait to do this stuff for my baby girl.
