Chapter 6

it was a less than exciting day as i followed Kylo around, doing mundane tasks that he couldn't bother himself with, such as signing off on the new budget. " i can't comprehend this number," i muttered, reading down the long list of budget increases.

'Don't worry about it, just sign off on it' Kylo said through the force. i signed Kylo's signature and handed it off to an officer.

"officer Ravana,"I heard Kylo call and i cringed, it sounded so weird to be called officer, and especially Officer Ravana.

"Yes Commander?" i replied, instantly at his side.

"i have to attend a meeting with General Hux for the rest of the workday, you are dismissed for today," he waved his hand and i thanked him respectfully before heading to my quarters. i didn't get dismissed often but it has happened.

i took a long shower, and dressed down, knowing i wouldn't be needed for the rest of the day. i lounged around the main area for a while, sometimes just looking out at the vast span of space. it was quite beautiful, and it allowed me to focus on my inner energy. i had to be sitting there for hours because finally when Kylo came in, it was 4 hours past the normal working hours.

"Valerie?" he said, the voice coder made my name sound menacing. i jumped slightly but didn't turn around to look at him.

"how was the meeting?" i asked stiffly.

"I didn't have a meeting actually, i had a personal errand to run," his voice was now normal and i felt the swoosh of his robes next to me before he sat down next to me. Kylo nudged something towards me and i looked down to see a small black box.

"oh?" i looked at him with a confused look.

"open it," he said a bit too dark to be nice but assuming from his awkwardness, he has never done this before. i pulled open the small lid and inside sat a small, but vibrant red crystal, hung by black wire, on a black chain. i looked up at Kylo to his expression but he moved to carefully grab the necklace. his hands brushed against my neck as he pulled my hair away and clasped the necklace around my neck. it wasn't very long, choker like but it was nonetheless beautiful.

"I love it," i whispered and saw the bright red crystal in the reflection of the window. i turned to Kylo and put my arms around his neck and pressed a soft but long kiss to his lips. "Thank you,"I whispered and let him go, standing up. he followed me up and wrapped an arm around my waist.

"I'm sorry," his voice was lower than a whisper but i heard him clear as day.

"i forgive you Kylo but i understand where you were coming from. so thank you for taking that into consideration," i hummed lightly, as i stepped onto my tiptoes to get close to his face. "But you're mine, and no one else's" I growled and placed a wet kiss on his lips but he pulled me closer to him, a hand pushing me into him. the warmth of his cloaks surrounded me as he tipped my head back, kissing down my neck.

"you forgot the other part," kylo growled. "You're mine too," he nipped the base of my neck before pulling away and resting his chin on my head.
