Chapter 5

I watched in silence from the large glass windows in the large foyer between Kylo's and My room, as the large red beams streaked across the sky towards earth. It was a late launch of the weapon but nonetheless, the planet would surely be destroyed. And it was. Unlike before when i was seized with breathlessness, i was able to watch in amazement as the planet expanded with a fury of red and yellow. Kylo was next to me an arm wrapped around my waist as we stood memorized. I leaned into his arm with a sigh and for a moment everything was ok.

"It's beautiful," Kylo muttered. 'But i much rather look at you' his words echoed in my head and i smirked.

"Oh really? What guy hasn't made that one-liner before?" i snickered and i felt a throaty chuckle rumbled form Kylo's chest.

"Many but they have nothing when compared to me," He added with a teasing kiss on my head.

"So unoriginal," i rolled my eyes with a sly smile.

"You want original?" Kylo growled and i found my back pressed against the giant cool glass window. I gasped quietly as Kylos hands pinned mine above my head.

"K-kylo i don't know what you're trying to-" i was cut off as his lips pressed to mine. Here we are, two souls coming together as a billion others depart off in the distance. It was exhilarating. I wanted to so badly run my hands through Kylo's silky black hair and run them down the front of his shirt but he kept my hands firmly in his hold.

"It's unavoidable Valerie, we both know what will come," Kylo whispered in my ear.

"I know, i j-just...haven't ever...considered...or even-" He stopped my rambling off with a soft 'shhhh'. For someone who can murder entire planets, he was sure a gentle soul when it came to me.

"We'll only do this if your comfortable, i won't do anything to harm you," he growled and kissed down my throat.

"I know that Kylo, I'm just hesitant," i admitted blood rushing to my cheeks. "But i am comfortable with you. There will always be insecurities and fear but i-i trust you, because even after our arguments we eventually begin to hear each other out," i mumbled as his teeth grazed my collarbone. "But I don't think I'm ready, it's a little quick for me" I gasped softly and Kylo pulled away and looked into my eyes.

He didn't say anything but his thumb brushed my cheek gently and I knew that was him accepting it.

"I do have to ask because you are this vicious, monster that can single-handedly kill a whole planet- why are you gentle with me?" my question was answered immediately.

"What? do you want me to be mean? You can't just appreciate it?" Kylo snapped.

"No, I don't want you to mean, yet, but i find it interesting- in a good, admirable way, that you are so careful," I admitted and he stared at me, eyes hard and hands clenched. "I didn't mean any offense, I was just wondering. Don't answer if you don't-" he cut me off

"in training, we spare in extremes, from sabers to combat. When training it is easy for me hold back my punches, not saying I do, but here, when I'm in this moment with you...i feel like I could shatter you with a brush of my hand," Kylo's voice was deep, throaty and it made me melt as we stayed, still pressed to the faint glass window.

"I'm not weak Kylo," I added after his speech.

"I know you're not, but seeing you so raw...so you -and the fact that your about a foot and half shorter than me-" i stopped him as i playfully slapped him.
