Chapter Forty Three

Grimlock looked towards the new sirens and furrowed his brow. He looked at the con that he had in a headlock and watched as he struggled to hit him. He smirked cockily and punched him in the face then dropped him. Grimlock wondered where the rest of his team was and how he lost them. Well only Bee was around. Somewhere. He felt his phone vibrate and looked at it as the fighting went on around him.

'Mom's in the hospital.' The message was from Piper and he furrowed his brow. There were only two people in this world he swore to protect with his life. His mother and sister.

He looked to city hall and then to the barricade. He took off running without another thought. He had to get to the hospital. He stopped suddenly as he saw an ambulance go towards city hall using the back way. His eyes widened and he ran to the building. Bumblebee was probably hurt and he hadn't been able to stop the con. He felt conflicted on what to do and ran faster.

He turned the corner and sighed a little in relief. Bumblebee wasn't the one the cops were around. He furrowed his brow as he saw it was the chief. He saw Starscream in the car and put two and two together. He growled lowly knowing the officer was a good and decent man. He ran to the squad car and pulled Starscream out then started hitting him as the smaller man cried out in pain.

"Grimlock! Grimlock stop!" Ironhide yelled as he ran over and pulled him away from the con.

"He hurt the chief! I put two and two together!" He roared angrily and tried to get free as more cops restrained him. Starscream looked at him like he was insane.

"What?!" He shrieked and shakily got up as he stumbled. "You put two and two together to get four! Not fifty!" He shouted only to get hit again. A few cops pulled Grimlock away from the man and away from the area.

"Get out of here." One growled lowly as they shoved him away. "You only make things worse." He said seriously and walked away.

Grimlock stared at him then looked at the cement. He shook his head and ran off again towards the hospital. He had to get to his family and protect them. He soon got to the hospital and went to the desk.

"Quick! I need to find Jennifer Stone, she's my mother. She was in the downtown area during the fight. My sister-"

"Hold on sir." The receptionist said as she looked at him. He sighed shakily and gripped the desk as he became anxious. "Alright she's down the hall in-" He quickly took off in the direction she pointed.

"Sir! You don't know where to go! Room 205!" She shouted as he turned the corner and disappeared. She sighed shakily and shook her head as she went back to work.

Grimlock looked at the numbers as he rang down the hall. He slowed down as he heard Piper say something about Ratchet. He furrowed his brow as his mother responded with venom in her voice. Did the doctor hurt his family? He walked in and everyone stared at him in surprise. Piper looked like she was going to cry and he wasn't sure why.

"Oh Grimlock. Oh my little baby come here." Jennifer said as she reached out to him. He didn't say anything and glanced at Knockout then Ratchet as he glared at each of the men. He sat by his mother's side and she hugged him tightly around the neck. He was more startled then anything else.

"Oh my special baby boy." The woman said in a tone as if she were talking to a puppy.

"Mom... what's wrong?" He asked as he tried to pull away. He hated it when she called him 'special' he felt she meant it in a demeaning way. He looked at Piper who was wiping her tears away as she smiled a little.
