Chapter Forty

Realized I haven't updated in a while... sorry guys.

Hopefully I will finish this in a few chapters.

The night was still and silent as the two gangs filed out onto the blocked street. Shockwave stopped suddenly and stared at Starscream as he stood across the way. The two gangs just stared at each other for a long agonizing amount of time. Soundwave and Blitzwing looked at each other as they watched.

"This is our chance Blitzwing." Soundwave said as he looked at him then at the crowded street below.

"You realize we'll probably both end up dead after this..." the crazed man stated and looked at him. The other didn't respond and walked to the door.

"Come on. We have a city to save." He muttered and the two left the apartment. Hoping to stop this disaster from happening.

The two men got out of the building and made their way out back. They looked around and stayed in the shadows as they walked through the alleyway. Blitzwing stared at the men wondering if they were going to fight or not.

"If you leave now Shockwave, I won't kill you." Starscream sneered and narrowed his eyes. The man stared at him blankly then glanced down the road to city hall.

"Your threats are as empty and pathetic as your mind." He said without showing emotion. Some of the men snickered but quickly fell silent.

"I won't have you mock me in front of my men!" The man yelled angrily and clenched his fists tightly. Blitzwing moved closer and crouched by a car that was parked in front of the alley.

Soundwave hesitated and slowly went to his side. He gave him a look silently saying to be careful. The crazed man smirked cockily as if asking when he isn't careful with what he does. He then started to fiddle with the car wires as he slid under the vehicle. Soundwave furrowed his brow as he listened to the two gangs argue. He slowly peaked through the cars window and watched as he debated on what to do.

"We need a distraction. Long enough for your goody-two-shoes brother to get here." Blitzwing whispered, earning a glare from the silent man.

"What? He is." He muttered as he worked. The silent man looked around as he heard the situation escalate quickly. He frowned and saw the men lunging at each other.

"Let them fight." Blitzwing said seriously and looked at him. Soundwave stared at his brother and felt panic. He couldn't watch someone harm him. Even though he was cruel, he was still his brother.

"Let them fight." Blitzwing said more sternly as he watched him tense. "Soundwave. Let them fight." He growled. The silent man didn't listen and jumped up then ran into the street.

"Idiot." The crazed man muttered bitterly and continued to work.

Soundwave ran passed the men and quickly went to his brother. He pulled the two leaders apart and stood between them. He set a hand on their chests to keep them at bay. He noticed something strange as the fighting slowly stopped around him. Starscreams heart beat was fast and panicked. But Shockwaves was slow and calm. He furrowed his brow with confusion and looked up at his brother.

The noise around him seemed to stop. The yelling from the two gangs and Starscream faded into nothingness as he tuned them out. He knew they were moving around him and Starscream was gesturing, but it seemed to just freeze in his mind. The whole world literally stopped as the two brothers stared at each other. Why was he calm? Especially after a few minutes of fighting. Shockwave just stared at him blankly and the corner of his mouth twitched ever so slightly into a sneer.
