Wheeljack and Jazz had managed to escape capture, though their hands were tied in front of them now. Magnus and Drift had gotten caught and were injured from the fight. The other two men were working on trying to get somewhere safe. They had to let the Chief know what happened. Starscream didn't want them to get away and called the gang. He informed them of the runaways and demanded their immediate capture. He didn't care how they did it either.
Wheeljack and Jazz stopped in an alleyway and panted heavily as they caught their breath. They looked at each other then out to the streets again. The two were exhausted and didn't know how far to go. They heard tires screeching and they ran further into the alley as they found a place to hide. They didn't hear anything for a few minutes then continued further down the alley. It split off into a 'T' and one side was blocked off by random things. Wheeljack narrowed his eyes and looked at Jazz.
"What?" He asked quietly and looked around.
"This feels like a trap." The soldier muttered as he looked around. "Stay here for now." He said seriously and started walking down the open way.
He looked around cautiously and moved slowly. He didn't see anything out of the ordinary yet. He was half way down when he looked back at Jazz. The cop was still there and watching him intently. Wheeljack smirked and was about to say something when he heard a beep. He looked to a certain spot and his eyes widened. He turned and started running back just as the small explosive went off. It slammed him into the wall and he crumbled to the ground.
"Wheeljack!" Jazz yelled and ran over to his side. The soldier looked around groggily and only heard ringing. A constant ringing in his ears. Jazz was yelling something but he couldn't hear him as he tried to focus.
"Come on! Get up!" The young cop said as he looked around. He could see cuts on the man and noticed his ear was bleeding. He glanced around and saw the gang members slowly approaching.
"Oh no..." Jazz mumbled as he paled and his friend passed out from the shock.
An hour later Wheeljack slowly woke up and furrowed his brow. He was laying on his stomach with his hands tied behind him. He coughed weakly and tried to get up but couldn't. He looked around groggily and grunted as he forced himself to at least get on his side. He noticed some blood on the floor and figured it was his. He looked around as he coughed weakly again.
"Jazz..." he rasped and tried to get up but ended up resting his forehead against the floor. His ear was ringing still and it was annoying.
"Drift..." he called a bit louder. "Heck even Magnus if he's around." He muttered bitterly and squeezed his eyes shut. He heard movement in the corner and frowned deeply as he looked to it. Someone grunted and there was a thud as if they tried to get up.
"Wheel... jack..." the person rasped quietly and the soldiers eyes widened in surprise.
"Drift? Hold on..." he mumbled and grunted as he pulled his legs up to his chest. He grunted as he managed to get his hands in front of him. He then crawled over to the other man and felt for him. He grabbed his hair and the man grunted quietly. Wheeljack felt something sticky in his hair and knew it was blood.
"Oh no... stay awake Drift." He said seriously. "Do you have a knife on you? I know they took our weapons but you always have something." He muttered. Drift looked around groggily and tried to move.
"Left... boot.... leg...." he rasped weakly and coughed a little.
"Okay... okay..." he mumbled and found his shin. The other man tensed and yelled through gritted teeth. "Sorry... sorry..." Wheeljack muttered and realized the man had been shot in the leg.
