Okay, this is going to be a long post, so let's get this over with! I got three things that I need to cover, and it'll take either two or three chapter uploads to do so. Don't worry, chapter 27 of "Let Me Be The One" will still be uploaded as scheduled.

Okay, so I plan on revising "Let Me Be The One" for the second time after it's gone through beta readings, critiquing, and editing. I would most likely be rewriting the entire story for the second time. That version will not be on Wattpad due to my publishing plans. I'm still not sure if I'm either going to self-publish or do traditional publishing. I'm currently working a part-time retail position, and I just graduated from college. I'm leaning on traditional publishing as I don't have the time and the money to hire people to promote my work. At the same time, I don't want to lose control over my work. Ya'll can give advice if you'd want, but if something comes up regarding this, I'll let ya'll know.
Anyway, so I've barely started the second revision, but before I were to continue, I'm writing two alternate versions of the opening scene in chapter one of "Let Me Be The One."
Apparently original draft scene, written in 2011, held a lot of complaints:

I'm not proud of this opening scene either. The biggest complaint was that it was rushed, and I revealed too much about Alyson (and other characters) too quickly. Like I said, I wrote this in 2011. I was going through shit at the time, and I didn't want to wait until it was all over just to write my story.
Last summer was when I starting writing the first revision. I had an opening scene that I had envisioned:

This dream scene, though it was a partial foreshadowing, wasn't very well liked. A few people didn't mind, but the majority told me it was the "incorrect" way to start my story.
So I'm now writing two alternate opening scenes! One alternate scene is somewhat a music video scene which would lead up to Alyson being dropped off to her private school. The second alternate scene is basically just an enhanced version of the original draft. Yet it would start the story with a cinematic Boston scene. It would show the world of Boston, which would lead up to Alyson being dropped off.
Now here's the thing: Neither of these scenes will be on Wattpad. I already wrote the music video version, and I posted it on Scribophile. The cinematic Boston scene will eventually be on that site after I get six critiques on the music video scene.
