The game was great and so fast-paced. You loved it. You and Shawn just talked about anything and yelled when something happened during the game.

Destiny

Oh god have pictures already got out of me and Shawn.

Destiny

You bet.

It was the second period and the leafs were losing 2-0.

"Come on do so-"

Right as Shawn said that the leafs had scored. You and Shawn jumped up and screamed.

"Guess they listened." Shawn said while sitting down.

"Guess they did."

"We can tie it up and win."

"This is the leafs we're talking about Shawn."

"I know but they can do it."

By the end of the period, the game was tied. Your phone was blowing up from everyone seeing the pictures of you and Shawn. You knew this would happen but you didn't care you were happy that's all that mattered. Half way through the third period and things started to pick up again. The leafs had scored again and were trying to keep the lead.

"Leafs please don't do the thing."

'The Thing' as everyone called it. Everyone knew what it was and dreaded when it happened.

"Shawn I'm scared we got 5 minutes."

"That's 5 minutes to keep the lead. We got this."

The 5 minutes went by and it resulted in a leafs win. The both of you cheered.

"Come on let's get you home." Shawn said while wrapping an arm around you.

His arm somehow felt like comfort. Your feelings for Shawn were developing more and more as much as you deny it. When you got in Shawn's car and checked your phone your mood dropped. You had a lot of text from the group chat with you and your parents.

Mom

When are you coming home?

Dad

We saw the note. Need to talk when you get back.

Mom

Text us when you're coming back.

Dad

Checked in with Shawn's family said you're with him.

Casey

Uh, the game just ended coming back now.

Fuck you thought. You're so screwed when you get back home. You didn't want to. We have to face ours fears I guess.

"You okay?" Shawn asked.

"Parents are going to go to talk to me once I get back." You said silently.

"I'm sure you'll be okay."

"Yea I hope so."

"If it does get bad you can escape to my house for a bit."

"Thanks but I'll probably see if I can go to Destiny will let me sneak out to her house first."

The rest of the car ride was silent as sadness filled the car. Shawn hugged you tightly and said goodnight to you. You grabbed your backpack from the backseat said goodnight and made the dreading walk to your house.

When you walked in your parents had that look. Little did you know how shitty the night would get.
