Two days after the funeral for your grandma you felt like your world came down yet again. Shawn had left for his tour. 4 and a half months without Shawn. That's waiting 4 and a half months of waiting to tell him you have feelings for him. Destiny is currently hanging out with you the two of you are coloring. It's one of the few things that still make you happy. Your phone started ringing and you smiled at the contact name. It was Shawn callin.
"Hey. How's tour so far?"
"Great but also tiring. Have you gotten the email about if you made the team?"
"No, not yet."
"That sucks you should get it soon."
"I just hope I made the team."
"Okay, so I had a crazy idea what if you flew out to one of my shows."
Everything stopped when he said those words. You can tell Destiny heard them cause she was smiling a lot.
"I don't know maybe what show were you thinking I'd come to?"
"Have you ever seen California before?"
"Oh my god it's my dream to go to California."
"I was thinking the California shows I have."
"I'll try to. I don't know cause if I start to play hockey."
"Well, only one way to find out."
"I hope I see you soon."
"Me too. I got to go I'll talk to you later."
After the call ended Destiny handed you your laptop with an email. It was the roster for the team. You weren't on the team.
"Well, this sucks. One bad thing after another."
"You can focus on your writing tho. Hey maybe even put out a book."
"I'm so grateful to have you as my best friend."
"It's no problem. You can see Shawn in California now."
"That's a month away."
"So I was thinking you can tell him you have feelings for him then."
"Yea. I don't know who to hang out with for the next month cause I know you work and stuff."
"Oh, I know someone. His name is Dylan he comes in the store a lot he's so nice and also gay."
"You're a lifesaver."
"It's no problem I'll text you his phone number in a bit cause I have to leave now."
"Okay bye."
When Destiny left you decided to make dinner for yourself and mom when she gets back home from work.
