Hockey tryouts were great. You're pretty sure you made the team. Shawn was very supportive of you and he said he played watching you play. Something seemed off about Shawn tho he wasn't himself. You didn't want to ask him tho he had a busy life.
"When do you know if you got the team or not?" Destiny asked.
"I'll get an email within the next few days."
"I swear if you aren't on that roster."
"I hope I am. I love Toronto and Canada in general but I want to explore and get out more that's one reason why I did go to tryouts."
"I got class now."
"Yea same see you at lunch."
Is it normal to be this sad after a loved one dies? You haven't had many people close to you die. Some of your great great grandparents have but you've met them only a few times. You then dragged your feet to class cause you didn't want to go.

At lunch you told Destiny about hanging out with Shawn after school and she seemed happy that you were going somewhere and not being distant. The rest of the school day went by so slow but you were happy cause Shawn.
"Ready to go?" Shawn asked.
"Yea."
You found yourself staring at Shawn while he was driving it was the little features about him that made you smile. He looked so relaxed while driving to. Shawn started to smile like he knew you were looking at him.
"You know Casey I know you've been looking at me."
"Kinda hoping I wasn't being obvious."
"Mission failed."
"Shush Mendes."
"You never call me by my first name."
"I do on rare occasions."
You and Shawn entered Timmy's it was quiet for an afternoon. Shawn knows what you get so he just ordered while you found somewhere to sit.
"It's nice to get away for a bit."
"I figured you didn't want to go back to your house."
In that moment you finally stopped denying your feelings for Shawn. You finally came to the realization that you loved him and you hoped he had feelings for you also.
