There he was standing near the window, his raven hair glimmering in the sunlight. His face was calm and collected as he spoke to the person next to him with a deep and gentle voice. You've always been drawn to his emotionless chocolate colored eyes; perhaps, it is because it felt as if he could see deep within you. But, that would be bad, wouldn't it? After all, if Kiku found out that you were attracted to him, many things, such as your relationship, might change.

The person Kiku was speaking to was a very cute brunette who had two big, pink flowers pinned to the side of her hair, helping her to appear more adorable to anyone who laid their eyes on her. She was just a bit smaller than him and you noticed how she preferred wearing a long-sleeved uniform that went pass her hands to imitate her older brother, Yao Wang. Currently, they seemed to be engaged in a lively conversation as they both had smiles on their faces. They really had the appearance of a perfect couple. Everyone said so.

I can't compare to her, was what you somberly thought as you gazed at them with sorrowful eyes.

You have always been like this; you were the kind of person who just accepted what was in front of you even though, deep within your heart, it pained you to the point of wanting to shed tears. Even so, you could not do that. You were not allowed to because... Kiku has only ever seen you as a trustworthy friend so you smiled to conceal your pain and tried to fool yourself into thinking you were happy for him.

"The plan did not work... am I correct?" Kiku frowned with a disappointed expression.

"Oh, Kiku..." Laura softly whispered and then firmly said with her fists raised, "Don't lose hope! We'll find another way!"

The conversation with the girl from before was part of Laura's plan to prove to Kiku that you really did fancy him; however, the plan seemed to have failed.

Kiku was disappointed and saddened that you apparently did not care that he was spending his time with another girl for the entire day. He expected you to at least show a hint of sadness or loneliness since he hung out with you every day; he was completely oblivious of the fact that, in reality, you were totally jealous and depressed about it on the inside.

The young Japanese man sighed quietly and thought, Well, I am aware that I am not ___'s only friend. She probably went with her other friends so... Then, the corner of his lips curved downward as he continued his train of thought. Even if I am not with her, it would not affect her that much since I am just one of her many friends...

On the other hand, Laura stood beside Kiku, muttering to herself on how stubborn you were being.

"Honestly, ___! She should be more straightforward with her feelings and just confess to Kiku instead of complicating things!" She whispered her thoughts frustratingly and then puffed her cheeks.

Your close friend Laura could be pretty meddlesome from time-to-time. She'd been encouraging you to confess to Kiku countless times ever since she noticed you were in love with him; however, just the thought of being rejected made you unable to even take one step forward. Yet, you had always seen Laura as a kind and caring big sister who helped you whenever you were in difficulty, and your love problems were certainly a big dilemma to her.

"I can't stand seeing you put yourself to the side like that, ___," she murmured with a concerned face. "Let's add the fact that Kiku here also has a crush on you!"
