***PLEASE READ: Even though this is a fictional story, the way God moves in Micah and Amineh’s life is very real. It happens all the time. I haven’t really been in any of the same, exact situations as the characters in this story but I have experienced God’s love and grace in the same ways that they have. My hope is that you don’t take what I write about lightly, I want each and every one of you to take something from this story. To learn something and be able to apply it to your lives, even if it’s just how Micah and Amineh pray before every meal and before they go to bed or the fact that through God Micah was able to forgive Alexa and himself. Learn something!
Thanks for reading and let me know what you think! J

I woke up that Saturday morning still smiling about what I found out yesterday. After I called my sister to tell her all the symptoms I was having she rushed over with a gallon of cranberry juice and pregnancy tests. After taking over five of them it became pretty clear that I definitely was pregnant. One of the Clearblue Digital tests let me know I conceived 3-5 weeks ago, which meant I was a month or close to it.
I was kind of nervous about telling Micah. I know he really wanted to have children but for my sake he agreed to wait until I was settled into my career. We used to be so careful about not getting pregnant, I guess sometime over the years we just stopped caring.
I hope he hasn’t changed his mind about wanting to have children, because even if it was unexpected I am really excited about it.
I turned to see Micah still asleep in all his naked glory. My goodness I love this man. I couldn’t have asked for a better husband or a better father for my child.
It was still early so I had time to make him breakfast before we headed to his mother’s for the family get together. Micah’s mother, Hillary, insisted that I invite Blythe, Deston, and the kids as well as my parents. I think she was only inviting Blythe and D to see the children. She absolutely loved them and spoiled them rotten; I can only imagine how she will react when I told everyone I was pregnant today. Nobody knew but Blythe so far and I planned on telling everyone tonight at dinner. Thank goodness I wasn’t feeling sick this morning that would have been a dead giveaway.
I had just finished setting up the table when Micah came downstairs.
“Morning beautiful,” he said taking a seat at the table.
“Good morning,” I said a little bit too cheerfully placing the plate filled with bacon, eggs and pancakes down in front of him.
“This looks so good baby girl,” he said before praying over the food and eating like a starved animal.
We ended up with only thirty minutes to get ready after we ate.
We arrived at Hillary’s later on to find that everyone else was already there, because we were late as usual.
“Hi Mineh! My goodness you look beautiful, you’re practically glowing,” Hillary said cheerfully embracing me.
“Thank you mama,” I said nervously but still hugging her back without hesitation. I hope she didn’t already figure out my surprise. Hillary was a wonderful woman but she could never keep a secret for longer than two seconds. I loved her none the less, she was such a charming woman.
“Micah you big ogre, give me some sugar,” she said letting go of me to cup his face in her tiny hands and reach up to kiss his cheek. She was only a little taller than me, but definitely a beautiful woman for her age. Her short brown that was now graying shaped her graceful facial features.
“Come on your parents and everyone else are in the back,” she said taking my hand and guiding us to the back.
My hands started to sweat a little bit at the mention of my parents, well mainly my father. I loved him so much, but he had a hard time excepting my husband which put a serious strain on our relationship.
