When Jesus opened the Scriptures to the two disciples who were on their way to Emmaus, He explained “what was said in all the Scriptures concerning Himself,” saying “Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and then enter his glory” (Luke 24:26-27, NIV). My concern today is that the same Spirit shall witness to Christ in the same way – to His sufferings, death, and glory. A religion, which consists of psychic experiences, trances, and emotional sensations, is not Christianity. Christianity has other aims. Jesus has not come with a psychologist’s couch, but with the Cross. Sinfulness is like leprosy – it kills while dulling the pain. Jesus is first of all the Savior. Nobody else even claims to be that. Preach Christ and Him crucified and the Spirit of the ancient Bible-prophets will back you up, penetrating the hearts of all hearers. God bless you. -REINHARD BONNKE
