Chapter 10

I met Emma at the entrance of the mall and quickly gave her a hug. We wandered through all the shops, occasionally picking up some new clothes and makeup.

"Ooh is that a spa?" Emma asked, jumping up and down.

Surely enough, our mall had just gotten a new spa and today was it's opening day. We both decided to get a full body massage, a pedicure and a manicure.

After we had finished it was 4pm and we decided to go back to Emma's house for a sleepover.

Halfway through the drive to her house I had an idea,

"Let's buy ice cream!" I squealed,

"Of course youu would think of that" Emma said, rolling her eyes.

We pulled up to a 7 11 and bought 3 tubs of ice cream. One cookies and cream, one mint choc chip and one cookie dough. All my favourite flavours!

We quickly stopped by my house to pick up pyjamas and a spare change of clothes.

As soon as we got into Emma's room we opened up all the ice cream tubs and went crazy. Ice cream really is the best.

"Sooo, you and Cam huh?" I asked, wiggling my eyebrows.

"He's soo cute and sweet" she swooned,

"I think you two would be cute" I said, winking.

"But you and Nashhh" she teased, poking me in the side

I could feel the blush rising to my cheeks.

"Yeah I like him but... I'm pretty sure he doesn't like me back" I sighed.

"Oh come on, you guys would be perfect together" she said, taking another bite of ice cream.

"If you insist"

The next morning I woke up to a text from Nash

Nashypoo: do u wanna go to the beach today?

I shook Emma awake,

"Whaaat?" She groaned and I showed her the text.

"Say yes say yes!" She squealed, shaking my shoulders.

Me: yeah what time?

Nash: 10:30?

Me: ok, see you there

"Lilly... That's in half an hour" Emma said.

"Uh oh! I better get going! Bye Em" I said, hugging her and grabbing my bags.

When I got home I changed into the new bikini I bought the day before with Emma, a pair of denim shorts over the top and a flowy white tank top. I quickly grabbed my beach bag and hopped in my car.

When I got to the beach I saw Nash standing in the car park and I decided to play around with him a bit

Nashypoo: are you here yet?

Me: yep, I can see you right now

Nash looked up from his phone and looked around, confused

Nashypoo: I can't see you :(

Me: look to your right

Nash looked up again and eventually caught my eye.

"Lilly!" He yelled, squeezing me extra tight.

"Shh Nash, people are going to look at us" I whispered.

He grinned and we walked down to an empty space on the sand, setting down our stuff. I lay down on my towel and closed my eyes.

"Lillyyyyyyy" Nash whined,

"Hmm?" I replied,

"Come swim with meee" he begged,

"Only if you say please" I said, smirking.

"Lillyyyy please come swim with me" he repeated, correcting himself.

"Fine" I agreed, sitting up and taking off my shorts and tank top.

I looked up at Nash who was staring at me and I bit my lip nervously.

"Come on let's go" he said, breaking his stare and pulling me down to the water.

It was kind of cold but we kept walking into the water until it was up to my shoulders. Nash kept going further out to where I couldn't stand.

"Nashyyy you're going too far out, I can't stand there" I whined.

"Come on, I'll carry you" he said, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"Look how far out we are now" he said, pointing towards the beach.

"Nobody can see us all the way out here"

I looked back from the beach and into his eyes, which were looking right back into mine.

Before I could think, I kissed him and he jerked his head back a little.

"I-I I'm sorry I just thought I-" I stuttered out, extremely embarrassed. I looked away from him, trying not to make eye contact.
