Chapter 13

It was only 1 week away from summer break and Nash's friend Matthew was throwing a party in celebration. I was kind of hesitant to go because of what happened at the last party but I was going anyway. Over the past couple of weeks Cameron and Emma had started dating and Cameron and I had gotten much closer, he was one of my best friends now.

Nash and I arrived at Matthews house, intertwining fingers as we walked through the door. The smell of alcohol was present as teenagers jumped around, forgetting about all their worries.

"Hey! Nash, Lilly, come play truth or dare with us!" Yelled Matthew, sitting on the floor with a group of a few other people.

When we joined them I could clearly see the other people there. Emma, Cam, Matthew, my other friend Steph, Carter and the person I least expected... Riley. Oh well, nothing too bad will happen, hopefully.

"Who's going first?" I asked, scanning my eyes around the group of people.

"Woah, slow down there Lil, everyone has to take a shot first" Matt said, passing around the tray of small glasses. I picked one up and quickly swallowed the liquid down, feeling more relaxed already.

"Ok now, I'm going to start" Matt declared,

"Cameron, I dare you to run into the middle of the crowd and scream out 'I actually like guys!'"

The rest of the truths and dares went just like that, harmless and fun, until it was Riley's turn.

"Nash, truth or dare?"

"Dare"

"I dare you to kiss me" she said, smirking.

Nash looked at me, squeezing my hand reassuringly before leaning into Riley. They kissed for quite a while an it was making me a bit uncomfortable. When Nash pulled away he kissed me quickly on the cheek, making sure I was ok.

When it got around to Matt's turn he decided to dare me,

"Lilly I dare you to go into that room with Carter for 5 minutes, you can do whatever you want" he said, mischievously.

Nash shot Matt a death glare as I let go of his hand, walking into the room with Carter. He shut the door behind me.

"It's ok we don't have to do anything, I know you're with Nash" he said coolly.

"I have an idea though" I said, grinning.

"What is it?" Carter asked.

"Let's mess up eachothers hair and clothes so it looks like we did something" I replied, grinning.

Carter seemed to get my hint and switched his shirt around backwards, I unbuckled one of my shoes and rubbed my eyes so my makeup was smudged. We then took turns ruffling up each other's hair, making it look tangly and messy.

"5 minutes is up!" Matt called through the door.

Carter and I both walked out casually and everyone was staring at us, their mouths on the floor.

I pretended to try to smooth out my hair and Nash lost it, getting up off the ground and running outside. I quickly followed him out there, only to find him sitting down with his back against the wall and his fingers running through his hair.

"Nash?" I whispered, tugging on his arm, he looked up at me with pained eyes and I burst into laughter.

"You know we didn't actually do anything Nashy?" I said, plopping myself down beside him.

"Then why do you look like that?" He mumbled, looking away.

"We made ourselves look messy to trick everyone" I explained, grabbing his jaw and pulling his face towards me. He nodded and brought me into his lap.

"Well I'm glad" he said, pecking me on the lips.

"Wanna go back inside?" I asked,

"Nah, I think I've had enough for the night" he replied, getting to his feet.

We got into his car and I quickly texted Matt saying we'd left and thanks for inviting us.

When we arrived at Nash's house I was a bit confused,

"Why didn't we stop by my house?" I questioned, stepping out of the car.

"Because you're staying at mine tonight, no choice" he replied, opening the front door for me.

I sighed and walked up to his room, grabbing a pair of basketball shorts and a big hoodie.

I sleepily crawled into bed beside Nash, pecking his lips, but he held on, forcing the kiss deeper.

Our tongues roamed each other's mouths, tangling our fingers in each other's hair.

"Lilly" Nash panted out,

"I love you so much"

"I love you too" I replied, my breath uneven.

I fell asleep with Nash's arms wrapped tightly around me, his breath soothing me as slept.
