Chapter 16

Your pov

Derek parked the car in front of the block of flats. I saw Damian waiting, leaning against the wall.

'' Do you want to come inside ? I'll be able to give your coat back '' I said to him.

He nodded and we both went out of the car. Damian saw us and smiled at me. Derek frowned.

'' I don't know if Ms Thomas will be happy to hear that I let you with a stranger at your flat '' Derek whispered at me.

I smiled at him and patted his shoulder. '' Damian isn't a stranger anymore. You take your job really seriously and thank to you I feel protect but don't worry. Damian is surely not the stalker ''

We arrived at the front door of my flat. I opened it and let Damian enter. Then I turned toward Derek and removed his coat from me. I handed him. '' Thank you for this '' I said '' See you later ''

I closed the door behind me. I walked to the living room, where Damian was. He had sat on the couch and his eyes fell on me as soon as I entered in the room.

'' Like what you see ''I said with a smirk. I was only in my underwears.

'' Black suit you '' he responded.

'' I'm used to live in underwear but if it makes you unconfortable I can go to my room to change ''

'' No it's okay. ''

I went to the fridge and took a bottle of red wine. I served us two glasses and handed him one. I sat next to him and took a sip. I sighed.

'' Jace was at the club tonight. He had his private dance '' i said to break the silence.

'' I'm not surprise.Since he has seen you at my birthday party, he only talks about wanting to have a private dance with you ''

During more than two hours we just drank and talk about everything and nothing. After a time, I stood up and went to my room to grab a little bag of paper.

I came back on the couch and Damian looked at me with a questionning look.

'' What is it ? '' he asked

'' Have you already been high before ? '' I asked as I rolled a join.

He frowned. '' I never smoked drugs. And you shoudn't do it either. It's not good for you health ''

'' You sound likeThomas. '' I said with a pout. '' I don't smoke often and it just help me to relax. It's only weed. It's not that strong ''

I lit up the joint and took a drag. Then I breathed out the smoke. '' If you'r bother by the smoke, I can smoke on the balcony '' I said after I took another drag.

'' No it's okay '' he said

I laid down on the couch,my head on the armrest on my legs on Damian's laps. Silence surrounded us.

'' Can I try ? '' Damian said after a moment

'' You'r sure ? I don't want to force you. ''

He nodded. '' I want to relax too ''.

I handed him the joint and he took a drag. He coughed at first but he breathed out the smoke quickly before taking another drag. He handed me the joint again.

'' it's not that bad ''he whispered.

One hour later we were spreaded on the carpet of the living room. My head rested on his stomac.

'' Do you think that soul mate exist ? '' damian said.

I chuckled. '' I don't believe in this kind of things, you know ''

'' I didn't either ...until I met Diana. ''

'' Is she your ex ? You mentioned her at your birthday. ''

'' Yeah ... She broke up with me. I don't like to not have control on my feelings and emotions you know but when I first met her it was like she was like me and at the same time she completed me. Strange isn't it ? ''

'' Hmm ''

'' She was amazing,fun, clever and ... I can't even find words to talk about her; She was ... she is perfect ... ''

We stayed silent for a moment.

'' When she left me it was like a part of me was missing too. '' He said '' I didn't want to act like a pathetic boy but I couldn't stop myself. I'm pathetic boy without her. I feel pathetic ... ''

'' Why did she leave ?''

'' She wants to be an actress you know ? She is amazing I went to see her many times to the theater when she was in a play. She has talents. When she is on stage she takes you into her own universe. And importante people noticed her talents and proposed her roles in movies. She was so happy when she heard the news. But she had to move to another city. And I have to stay here because of Wayne enterprise. She said she loved me but couldn't stay with me if we live so far away from each other. So ...she broke up with me ... ''

I went to lay down next to him. He had is eyes fixing the white ceiling.

'' I begged her to not do it you know ... I was sure we could arrived to be happy together even if we didn't live in the same city. But she left ... ''

He turned his head toward me and our eyes locked.

'' It hurt you know ...it hurt a lot ... ''

I sighed.

 '' I know ... ''
