Chapter 26

Your pov

Damian and I were walking on Gotham streets. The sun was hiden by dark clouds. We could smell the sent of rain.

''What about a coffee ?'' I asked as we passed in front of a café.

Damian agreed and we entered in the café. We went to the cashier and order our drinks.

'' I would like black coffee please '' Damian asked

'' And hot chocolat for me please '' I asked.

'' Would you like to sit inside or a take away ? '' the waiter asked.

We looked at each other.

'' Take away, please ''Damian finally said.

The waiter nodded and asked us to wait.

'' We can drink as we walked and I would like to show you something '' Damian said.

I smiled '' And what is it ? '' I asked.

''I made so researches on your stalker. I found nothing. It's strange. But Dean came back at the same time as your stalker ''

I shivered, thinking about my ex and what happen few days ago. He didn't come back after Derek stepped in. I was glad.

'' And do you think he is the stalker ? '' I asked.

Silence.

I looked at Damian. ''Hey, Damian ? ''.

He was looking through the shop window of the café. In the street, a girl was talking to her phone. She was playing with a strand of her long, fair hair,biting her bottom lip ligltly. She was beautiful.

'' Damian, are you okay? '' I asked, frowning.

'' D-diana ? '' he whispered.

My blood ran cold. I looked at the girl. She was walking away.

'' Damian, it's ok ...''

But Damian was already at the door.

'' Diana ? Diana wait!'' I heared him screamed as he ran in the street.

I stayed still, not knowing what to do. Suddenly, I heard someone coughing behind me. The waiter was handing me our drinks. I took them and went out of the café. I looked around. Damian wasn't here.

He will come back, won't he ? He will not let me like that, won't he ? I felt tears gathering in my eyes. I fought them to not fell.

I had been so stupid for falling in love with him. Diana was back and if she agrees to take him back, he will accept. He will be so happy, and me ...

I waited, ten minutes, twenty, thirty ... He still wasn't here. My heart was sinking slowly in my chest as the time was passing.

'' Please come back '' I whispered under my breath.

One hour later, he was still not here. The drinks were cold in my hands. It was raining. I didn't move. I was waiting. I couldn't accept that he left me.

Rain and tears mixted on my cold cheeks. I was soaked wet. I realized that he will not come back. He left me for her.

I dropped the drinks and they crashed on the ground. I hidded my head behind my hands. He will be happy. I will accept it. I loved him and all I wanted was his happiness, isn't it ?

I couldn't be selfish.His heart was healling with Diana at his side.

 Not me. 

Not me .

I walked back to my flat under the heavy rain ... alone ... as always.
