I finally got out of my English lecture or to be more specific , detention. I didn't do anything wrong. I was just doing what was right and what i thought was best for the situation.
Going to Brown University studying for psychology as a black woman is irritating. Most people think you wanna deal with others problems and not your own or you had nothing else to pick but I want to do this even though it's hard I get to help people on how to love yourself ,being happy and many other things. that means the most to me.
I finally arrived in the parking lot to see my beautiful black Benz truck. I put the keys inside of the ignition and went on my way to do some errands while I'm still out. "The Worst" By Jhene Aiko came on as soon as I turned the corner to go to Wawa. It immediately made me calm. like everything was gonna be okay.
I soon arrived at Wawa to get some gas for my car so I won't have to stop tomorrow. I go inside to pay for it.
"Pump #4."
"That would be $17.84."
I give her the 20 dollar bill , collect my change and go on my way to get the gas.
I open up the compartment to put the gas inside of it. I watch the numbers go slowly up while hearing someone call my name.
"Aaliyah?"
I turn around and see the guy who's been on my mind ever since we've met at kidada's party.
Ethan.
"Hey boo! How come you still haven't text me?" I asked him with a smirk on my face.
"I - i was getting around to it. I've just been busy lately sorry." He said back with sympathy.
"It's fine , don't sweat it. How are you though?" I asked him.
" I've been good but I'm glad we ran into each other today."
" Oh really , you missed me that much?" I said with curiosity
" of course I did" he said while smiling
I wasn't expecting him to say that so of course I blushed.
" Will you go out with me?"
"What?"
" It's just that you're so beautiful and I feel a connection with you and I really want to take you out. Can I please do that"? He asked me with puppy dogs eyes.
" I don't know will I?"
He started stuttering and shaking so I went up to his window and gave him a kiss on the cheek and he immediately calmed down.
"Of course I will , I would be honored to." I said with a smile on my face
" really?" He said with surprise in his voice.
" yeah , I like you white boy."
He groans as I mention his nickname I made up for him.
" text me the details of when this date is going to happen okay?
" I will , I promise" He said
" See you later , cutie" I said while pulling out of the Wawa parking lot.
I blew a kiss at him before leaving.
I look at my mirror and see him rubbing the cheek I kissed to calm him down while smiling and getting out of his car.
I have a good feeling about this boy.
