Chapter 2

As she starts to walk away I grabbed the hem of her shirt and I punch her in the face. "Bitch, leave her alone or I swear to you I will fuck you up." I threatened. I let go of her shirt and I walked away. She won't mess with my BESTIE!!! I run towards the tree that she was crying under. When I got back I saw her making out with Charlie?! Charlie is my BOYFRIEND?! "Lily! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I asked while standing a far distance.

How could she do this to me...? "Um.... I can explain!! You see Charlie ca-" She was interrupted by me. "Just stop!! I don't want to hear your voice right now. And to think that I hit someone for you!!! You are not worth it. NEITHER OF YOU!!!" I said and I started running while tears trickled down my cheeks. I can't believe that MY BEST FRIEND and MY BOYFRIEND were making out. I hit someone for that... that... SLUT!!! Anyway I ran to the only place sad girls go to, the bathroom. I couldn't believe I would ever be one of the sad girls in the public bathroom. Normally I would go to the bathroom I use but there you're not gonna get far with crying because they will be all up in your business. Which I don't want right now.

I just can't believe that my best friend would do this to me. I ran into a bathroom stall and I heard footsteps that were following me to the bathroom. "Hey, Layla. Are you okay?" Lily asked me sitting against the door. "Leave me alone, backstabber." I replied. "Look, I'm sorry. Okay? I just... Let me start from the beginning. So when you left Charlie came to ask me where you were. I told him that you just left and then I told him what I told you. Then I kind of kissed him. I'm sorry, I really am. And I feel like you hate me forever. But I just wanted you to know the truth." She said while crying. "I forgive you." I said, opening the door. The moment I did she gave me a hug. I hugged her back knowing that it was the right thing to do. I let go of her and looked into her brown eyes. She doesn't have to know that she let me down. I look deeper into her eyes.

"You and Charlie fell in love and are now dating. Your best friend, Layla gave you permission to date him. And you want to go to your boyfriend." I told her and she walked away. The moment she left I fell to the floor. I used too much of my energy. I groaned in pain as I felt my life force being drained from me. I tried to pick myself up but I fell back to the floor. I groaned again and until I knew I passed out.

I slowly opened my eyes to find that I was in the Nurse's Office. I looked around to find a Guy sitting next to me. And he's pretty cute. "She's awake. Are you okay?" He asked while looking down at me. "I think so, what happened?" I asked as I sat up. I rubbed my eyes and I looked into his beautiful amber eyes. He is really cute. He has light brown, curly hair and he has a muscular figure. "Oh, my name is Alex, what's yours?" He asked me with a smile. "I'm Layla, it's nice to meet you." I said as I returned the smile. "Anyway, I found you passed out in the Girl's Bathroom. And please don't ask me way I was there. I never saw the sign." He said as he chuckled to himself. I let out a little giggle at that thought too.

He was funny and I liked that about him. "So how exactly am I alive then?" I asked looking into his eyes. "It was challenging. I helped the nurse though. She is very nice." He said and he held my hand. "What are you doing?" I asked looking at my hand. "I'm comforting you, I think." He said as he raised a brow. I laughed and I put my head against his chest. "Now it's my turn to ask, what exactly are you doing?" He asked me stroking my hair. "I don't know, but it feels nice." I told him staring into his eyes as he looked down at me.

After that I fell asleep in his arms and it felt right. I don't know way I feel so safe with him. But once I woke up class had already started and he was gone. "You must be wondering where your boyfriend is? He went to class. So what's going on between you two?" She asked me as she took a seat next to me. " I don't know but I feel like we have chemistry." I said while smiling slightly. I feel weak around him. I feel like it's love at first sight. "I see that high school romance still exists. Well, you should get to class." She said as she helped me get back on my feet. The moment I stood to my feet I fell to the ground. I groaned. "Oh, dear! I am so sorry. I didn't know you were so weak. Here, I'll help you up." She said as she helped me back onto the bed. Slowly I climbed back onto the bed. "Thank you." I said as I moved slightly to get comfortable. "No problem, dear. I need to go get some more ice packs. I'll be right back." She said and exited the room.

I feel so bored so I had no other option but to go back to sleep. It took me a while to go back to sleep because I had something on my mind. Alex. It was bothering me that I couldn't sleep because I was thinking about him. What am I going to do about that? How am I going to go get any rest with him on my mind. Oh well, after I finally fell asleep I had a dream.

"Alex, what are you doing here?" I asked as he stroked my cheek. "Wh...What are you-" I stuttered but I was cut off by Alex's finger. He held his finger to my lips. "Shhhh.... Don't talk." He told me as he leaned closer to my face. I leaned in until our lips met. I felt compassion as our lips touched. It was like my lips said I should kiss him over and over again. I felt love.

And then I woke up. I wish that dream would come true. As I opened my eyes, Alex was sitting to my right. As I looked around I saw that I was home. "What are you doing here?" I asked him looking up at him. "I took you home when I saw you sleeping in the Nurse's Office. I didn't think I should wake you." He said. "Oh, thank you. But where's my mom?" I asked worried. "Oh, she wasn't here when I arrived so I let myself in. I hope you didn't mind." He replied. "So how did you end up in the Nurse's Office?" He asked. "Well... it's a long story. But I just passed out in the bathroom." I lied. I feel guilty for not telling him the truth. Well, I guess you guys don't know what I'm talking about. Well, it's a long story.
