The Darkness In Disguise

Chapter 8

"What is it?" I exclaimed. Please don't tell me those idiots died! "It's your mother. She was in a car accident. She is in the emergency room. She might not make it." The doctor stated as she left the room. Tears began to trickle down my cheeks. I wailed loudly as I kept the tears coming. I could hear footsteps in the distance. Someone flung the door open and rushed to my side. I looked at this person's face. It was Charlie. "What are you doing here?" I asked in confusion. He wiped the tears off of my cheeks and smiled. "I like seeing you so... Sad." He said as his smile spread even further across his face. "What? What are you doing?" I asked still confused but a little bit frightened. "I drove into your mother." He whispered into my ear.

He began to laugh and then he pulled out a gun. He pointed it at my head. "Get up!" He exclaimed as I stood up. I fell straight to the floor. He helped me up and he took me outside. Unlucky for me, everyone was still sleeping. And he said if I made a sound he would shoot me. "Now, You're going to get in the car." He told me calmly. He helped me into the front seat. He locked my door after helping me into the car. He climbed into his side and began to drive.

I watched how all of the cars just drove past but I guess then wouldn't know what's happening. "Where are we going?" I asked as I sat still. "My place, now shut up!" He shouted as he speeded down the street. I looked out of the window. I stared at the lights that lit up the city. "It's beautiful." I muttered. "What did you say?" He asked me calmly. "The city, it's beautiful." I said louder to allow him to hear. "Not as beautiful as you." He said and my head turned towards him. "What?!" I exclaimed. "Don't tell me you don't know why I took you?" He asked in confusion. "No, I don't." I stated. He looked happy, in a way. "Good, I think? Anyway, we're here." He said with a grin. I looked around to see that this was the same house my dad died in. "Why... did you bring me here?" I asked as a tear rolled down my cheek.

"Stop crying, why are you crying anyway?" He asked me, still very calm. "My dad died here." I managed to say before I began to wail. He walked to my door and opened it for me. He helped me out of the car and brought me inside. "Can we please leave? We can go to my place?" I asked while more tears managed to break through. "Well, will your mother be there?" He asked, considering my request. "No, she's in the hospital." I said as he dragged me back to the car. "Fine! But you own me." He stated as he threw me into the car. I groaned at the impact. This might be my chance to go back.

"Hey, what do you want to do?" I asked, a little scared for an answer. "To express my love for you. You got over me but I never got over you." He stated as he started the engine. "Maybe we can somewhere more private? Like the forest nearby?" I suggested with a smile. I want him to think that I want to do whatever he wants me to do. I don't really want him to do anything to me. Well, he won't do anything to me until the day I die. "You mean The Forbidden Forest?" He asked with fear. "Yeah, are you scared?" I asked him while smirking. "No... Of course not. So that's where you want to go?" He asked me not sure what to do. I felt like he was trying to act tough, but failing.

"Yes please, baby." I said as I caressed his cheek. After that all I thought in my head was disgust. "Okay." He said as we arrived. As he opened my door I climbed out. I wrapped my arm around him to find Liam and Alex there. Their arms were crossed as Liam approached me and Charlie. He knocked Charlie out with a punch. I fell to the ground. Liam helped me back up as I groaned. "Are you okay?" Alex asked as he also came to help me. "I'm okay." I stated. I can't believe they were here. "I figured you'd try to come here." Liam stated with a frown. "That reminds me, I need to get in there." I said as I tried to walk in. They held me back. "What? Let me go!" I exclaimed as they both let go of me. I fell to the floor. I began to crawl towards the entrance. Liam acknowledged this and ran towards me.

He stopped me and picked my up. I squirmed but he held onto me, tightly. "Stop moving." He commanded. Of course I didn't listen. I kept on squirming until he let me go and I ran in. I borrowed some of Liam's energy so that I could walk. "Come back, right now!" Liam commanded. I didn't listen. "No, I need to get more energy." I demanded. "I'm coming with you then." He said as he began to walk towards me. "STOP!!! I don't want you to get stuck in here again." I stated and he stopped walking. "But I don't want that to happen to you." He said as a tear rolled down his cheek. I turned around and ran. I can't stay there. I need to ask The Dark Angel for her help. After running for a few minutes I found her. "What do you wish of me, child?" She asked gracefully, studying my weakened state. 

"You wish to lend power from the forest. That's why you are here. Now, find the key." She said as she disappeared into the dark mist. "Wait!" I exclaimed but she was already gone. I fell down onto the floor. Liam runs to my side. "Are you okay?" He asks, frightened. "Please leave." I requested as I began to stand up. He helped me up and I stood by myself. "No!!!!! I won't leave your side until you are out of this forest!" He exclaimed. I took energy from his body. I ran away. A tear trickled down my cheek and fell on the damp floor. He can't get involved. She said that I need to find a key, but where?
