There for Me

You've always been there for me,

And I hope you always will be,

The stone for my emotions that's always kept me sane,

More than once, you've been my shelter from the emotional rain,

You're irreplaceable.

My brightest light in my darkest hour,

You promise it'll be fine, even if it's out of your power,

There are some things that you can't fix, just like this,

You tell me everything's fine, that there's nothing amiss,

You're a liar.

You lie to me, say that everything's fine,

Say that everything that's happened is divine,

You tell me: 'You're destined for great things',

I smile, you smile too: 'We'll see what the future brings',

You're my irreplaceable liar.
