Chapter 23 - Hiding Something From Me

Diocles pov

"Coming.." I yelled after the door bell rang few time.

I rushed to open the door of my apartment. I spinned the doorknob and the door wide opened. I was shocked to see Deemia standing infront of my apartment.

"Deemia.." I can only called her.

She gave me a half heart smile. She was covered in sweat and trembling alot. Without answering me, she crashed herself to my chest, hugging me tightly.

"Are you ok?" I returned her hugged.

"Can I stay here for the night?" She asked in her small voice, giving me this stupid imagination. I bloked my wild thought imediately.

"Come in." I pulled her entering my apartment and closed the door.

She adjusted herself on the couch as I gave her a can of drink. Her face pale with her panda eyes. Her lips cracked and dry. What happen to my girlfriend?

I saw her last week, and in few days she turned like this. She looked in great stress.

"Are you ok?" Worried surround me the more I watch on her condition.

"I'm fine. I just miss you alot." She fake a smile.

I'm not use to her being like this. In our four months of relationship, she was very pamper and sweet. She always understand my commitment and give me space. Deemia really is a wonderful girlfriend.

"Can I hug you?" Her question startle me again.

"Come here." I open my arm and she hugged me again.

She squeezed me more in my embrace. Her face was a bit hot. So I place my palm on her forehead to check her temperature. She was burning.

"Gosh.. Deemia, you're sick."

"Just a little hot." She denie it.

"Did you take your medicine?"

"I don't need it. I still can bear it."

"Idiot..! Why you always skip your medicine. You need it."

I pulled away from our hugged but she clinged to me, not letting me go. I sighed looking at her begging eyes. This reminded me our last trip together. I told her to eat the medicine but she ignore my words.

"You are not disobey my words this time. You need to take the med. Let me get it for you." I spoke nicely and caress her cheek. Damn..!! She's too hot. I'm worried.

She release me after a while. I went to the kitchen and get what I need. Then I return with some fever reliefer, a glass of water and two piece of sandwich. But the time I joined her in her seat, she has her eyes shuted.

"Deemia..?"

She opened her eyes slowly and turned to me. I passed her the sandwich but she shook her head weakly.

"Its cold." She complained.

Not again.. The history is repeating itself. I know what will happen next. She'll ignore me, she'll throw up, she'll complained its too cold, she'll snuggled to me, lastly, I fall in love with her.. again.

"You need to rest but first eat something."

"No.. its too bitter."

"Please.. just a little." I pushed the sandwich to her mouth. She was obviously unwillingly but still open her mouth and took a bite.

"Good girl." I patted her black hair after finishing a piece of it. Then she took her med before closing her eyes landing on the couch.

I raised her head and place it on my lap. She was cuddling herself, as round as a ball. Her weak stated slowly hit right on my weak spot.

"I'm sorry.." I kissed the side of her head.

"What for?" She mumbled back.

"For not being the good boyfriend."

"I can expect that. You never be the good leader either." I know she was joking as I can sense the playful tone in her sentence.

"Do you need to ruin the moment now sweetheart."

"Runing our moment is one of my skill." She teased me.

I can't help but to laugh in happiness. I know what I felt right now. I am feeling in love. Seeing her eyes closed while she rest on my lap, I slowly bend down and kissed her.

The kissed cure my hunger for this little gamer. I can't believe myself, I fall for her.

"You'll catch my fever." She complained after I pull away for air.

"No. I have better antibody than you." I peek on her cheek again.

She smile ear to ear with her pale face making me even guiltier than I already have.

"I'm sleepy."

"Let go to my roo--"

"No. I want to sleep on your lap." She cut my line with her sweet pleading.

"Alright. Sleep. I'll be right here." I can't win against her cuteness. I love her enough to let her win each arguement.

Not long after that, she fell asleep on my lap. I took my phone and open my COC account. I played few times before her phone vibrate in her pocket making me frown.

I pocket her phone carefully not to wake her up. My sight glued on the small smart phone reading the notification buzzing non stop. I was debating either to invaded her privacy or not. But the jelousy side win against the rational thought. I found myself slowly slided to unlock the phone.

Before I could read the rest of the message, her phone rang and Choel name plaster on the screen. I answer it with out second thought.

"Deemi..!! Where are you? I've call you for thousand tim---"

"She's sleeping right now." I cut her panic tone.

Choel was silent for a moment. I was too stay silent with her.

"Diamond?"

I scratched my not itch head. "Yes. She's with me."

"Thanks god.. she's with you." Suprisingly, Choel sighed in relief.

"Do you---"

"No no.. its ok. Take care of her Diamond. Please.. don't leave her alone."

"I would not."

"Thank you Diamond." Then she end the called.

My sight focus on the first message. Who is this person threatening my girlfrend? I can't shake this hard and worried feeling. I felt like she is hidding something from me.
