Chapter 28 - Honesty

Deemia pov

"Ed is back?" Tarnisha yelled a little.

Choel, Silis, Tarnisha and me had our little gathering in a new place. Actually its Tarnisha sudden suggest. She asked us to gather here. Of course we all understand her hidden meaning. She was stalking Kyler again.

Silis nodded. "Just saw her with Reifan."

"They really together now?" Tarnisha ask again as she chewed the fries slowly.

"Maybe yes.. maybe no." Choel joined her having the fries.

"Whatever. I don't give a shit." I commented indifferently.

"How is you and your Kyler?" Silis turned her focus on Tarnisha and she smile proudly.

She smirks. "Let your imagination run wild ladies."

Choel chuckled and pushed her lightly. "They on the cuddle stage."

"What. Already?" I shouted out loud making the main character eyes widen.

Actually I'm nervous. They don't know I'm dating Diocles. So I was trying hard to keep it a secret. Why..?? Because they will run wild hearing the news and bash me non stop.

"What already? I took a year for that." Tarnisha made her excuse.

"I sense something unusual with Ari." Choel sudden comment just freeze all our action.

"Something happen?" Tarnisha asked further.

"Maybe yes..maybe no." Then we all look at Choel disbelief and laugh a moment.

Choel doesn't need to mention it. I can sense it from the previouse case. Aries and her was in silent conflict because of me. I looked at Choel briefly but she was giving me her famous mischievous smirked. I frowned at her

"Sorry guys. I'm going first." Tarnisha stood imediately and made way to the door.

"You still have some food left." I shouted at her.

"Eat it. I'm rushing."

"Ok.. good luck cuddling." I shouted again and they all laugh crazily.

Before I can feel ease, Choel already fix her gaze on me. She was giggling. grinning and smirking non stop, giving me this uneasy feeling. I frowned at her action. This was odd.

I ignore her game and chat with Silis instead. After Andrew fetched Silis to went home, I can't stand Choel evil smile anymore.

"What..!" Finally I snapped.

"Sneaky Deemia. Who thought you'll be this sneaky." She responded to me.

"What the hell?"

"Well.. I can't say anything if you refuse to talk about it. But I am really disapointed at you."

What is this about? Choel sudden bashed me its weird. I leaned back to the seat and stared at her. Her calm expression drown me in the deep confusion.

"Playing hero again Deemia?"

"What?" I asked firmly.

"I don't mind you hiding you relationship but you should be honest with your partner. Did he know about your family bisness?"

Choel just kill me with her words. I froze looking at her face.

"Its look like he is serious with you." She looked at my finger where Diocles ring clearly fit. "But do you feel the same?"

My habit slowly control me when I realize I start bitting on my thumb. Choel remind me the things I tried to forget the most. She was talking about my family bisness.

"I.." I can't replied Choel.

"Honesty is the most important thing in a relationship. You can't go far without it. Think about how will he react when he know it from someone else."

She shutted me down again.

"You didn't even told him about the insident with Rommy." She added.

I cringed even more as her lecture went on. Choel was right. I need to be honest. But I'm afraid what he'll think of me.

"I'm scare Cho. I'm afraid he'll leave me when he know who I am or what I am."

Suprisingly, Choel chuckled over my honest thought. "Everything happen for a reason and every reason mean what happen. If its happen, then let it happen."

"I know. I just.. I'm.. " I can't win against her.

"Be honest Mia. He deserve to know the truth. Tell him."

I nodded weakly over her final lecture. After convey her inner thought she left me alone dealing with it. Damn..!! Now I got another trouble to deal with. As I drove away, Choel words keep ringging in my ears. I can't shook her words away.

After I step inside Diocles apartment, I landed weakly on the couch. This guilty feeling slowly eating me inside the more I thought about it. I start crying over thinking the posibility of breaking up. I heard the door click so I wiped my tears imediately. I ran to the toilet and washed my face.

"Deemia..?" Diocles was calling for me.

I looked at my reflection on the mirror and fake a smile. I tried to calm myself as I washed my face again. Then I heard he called my name for the second time. I exit the toilet after wiping my face and found him by the refrigerator pouring his drink.

"I miss you." I hugged him imediately but he refused me with his fiercely glared. I flinched.

"Diocles.." I called him in my small voice.

"Why did you cry?" His tone was harsh and bitter.

I froze by his one question.

"Why..?" He repeated it.

"I'm not. What make you think I am?" I fake a laughed as I walked toward the dining table.

"Don't lie Deemia. Lying never be the good choice."

"Why would I lie?" I gave him my most charming smile but he walked to me with his sour face.

"Then explain why your eyes swollen and red?"

"I just woke up." I patted his shoulder before went to the living room but he grabbed my wrist, stop me from leaving.

"I always have this feeling you're hidding something from me. You know how much I love you right? Your happiness all the matter to me."

The guilt inside me grew even bigger. The tears stream down my cheek again. Can he still except me after knowing the truth? Will he still love me as he love me right now? What will he think of me when he know it?

"I love you." He pulled me to face him and wipe away my tears down my cheeks.

I so stupid..! He caught me lying.

"I'm sorry." I did another mistake again.

I should be honest if we're getting serious with this relationship. Marriage is not a game, there is no recall button. But I don't have the courage to be honest about me. I just don't have it.
