Diocles pov
After the breakfast, I go to observe the new player progression. I stop by the speed section and see Nelson currently practising on his speed with the new games.
I have some programmer develop certain game for certain aspect. These type of game will increase their speed, eyesight, memory and strategy during a game.
"Focus.." I roar.
"Yes Lead." They answer enthusiasticly.
I round the section a few times and give some advice to the new trainer before leaving. When I pass the strategy section I see Deemia sitting there alone. She is always alone.
"Nice record." I am shock to see she almost break my record.
She glance back briefly then focus back on the monitor. She click her mouse with out caring for my existent at all. I stay behind her and watch silently. Before she could break my record on the game, the game over.
"Stupid mother fucker son of a bitch." She curse on my monitor.
"Too bad. Just a little."
"How do I kill the big boss?" She ask.
My lips carve a smile. The game require the player to defeat the big monster to advance to the next level. She almost kill it but its got time limit.
"Think Carefully. This is the strategy section. Use you head creatively."
"I am using my head incase you don't know."
"Think harder."
She sigh and start the game again. I watch behind her as her character marching and killing the bug. After a while she get to the boss level and again the game over before she could kill it.
"Arghh.. stupid." She almost break my mouse.
I want to laugh so much but I hold it. I clear my throat and take the seat beside her. I click the link and connected to her site.
"Try it again." I command
She accept the invitation to team up and we start playing together. I give oder to her and she don't have any trouble in following oders. When we reach the big boss level, she try again but this time with me as a back up. Finally, she success.
I smile brightly. "Tell me what the strategy did I use?"
"You extend the time limits. I didn't know the mushroom give extra time."
"You did't know because you keep missing the detail. Next time explore everything and train on your eyesight more."
She lean back to her chair and sigh. "I only play this today."
That suprising if she really only play the game today. She manage to reach the big boss level only in 3 hours. I need to update the game here. She's really a fast learner.
"You keep missing detail ---" I speak again.
"The next project is COC right. Can I join your team?" She blurt her demand.
"I haven't think ---"
"Let me join. I ---" She interupted me.
"No." I interupted back.
Her voice raise and she look straight into my eyes. "Why?"
"Its need a lot of teamwork. Although you're a fast learner you doesn't have great teamwork. And COC need well-built teamwork among the member." I explain my reason word by word to her.
"I can learn that." Her voice drop.
"You can't learn that. You need to earn it. Fix you attitude. Be nice toward your co-player. Don't ignore you team leader oders. Base on your current stated, I can't even let you join." I decline her demand again.
I raise from my seat and ready to leave. But she suddenly grab on my wrist and I meet her ambitious gaze.
"If I can change it.. Will you let me join?" She is serious.
"Will you change your attitude?"
"I will." She answer quickly.
"Will you get along with your co-player?"
"I will." She nods.
"Show me your effort and I'll consider your request again."
"How?" She ask.
I'm puzzle by my own question. But I'm puzzle more at our connected hand. Why is she still grabing on my wrist.
"You told me to fix my attitude, but my attidue is fine." I hear her complain.
"Does skiping meeting, ignoring team task, wander alone in a mission and not giving support during a game are your definision of good attitude?" I question her logic.
She lower her head and my heart turn soft seeing her act. Oh please don't cry. Although I made plenty of trainer cry before, trust me I'm not enjoying that.
"I'll change. I make the effort and show you. And if I pass your qualification, let me join your team." She looks up and our eyes meet again. I'm glad, she is not crying.
"I'll marks your fair and square." I smile but she only stare at me blankly.
I use my other hand to push down her grip and she let me go. I continue my step but she grab my wrist again making me turn disbelief at her.
"What..!" My voice raise.
"Thank you."
Now I feel guilty. That make me take a deep breath trying to contain my feeling. This time she smile genuinely. And seeing that make me want to pat her. So I pat her. But not on top of her head. I caress her cheek. Then the reality hit me when she blush.
"Keep practising." I rush out from the strategy room.
What is that?? What is wrong with me? That is so not profesional. What did I done.. I sigh the entire day.
