I have faint memories of a small cottage on the outskirts of my hometown, Louphuna. All throughout the house, the light scent of lavender and apple spice followed my every step as I ran towards my mother when I spotted her at the end of the hallway.

"Momma!" I said as I stretched my arms out toward her;

she picked me up into her arms and smiled sweetly at me. "What is it Kat?"

I held the white lily out to her in response, "for you!"

She looked down at the flower, then kissed my forehead;"It's beautiful, where did you get it?"

"The pond" I said as I grinned.

She looked me up and down then laughed, "well I was wondering why you were caked in mud. Let's get you changed out of those filthy clothes then."

I looked up at her and pouted; "B-but I want to go play with Bear!" I whined bringing up my best friend in hopes to get away. I nicknamed him bear because of his wolves thick brown coat.

She rolled her eyes in response; "not looking like that you aren't."

She took my hand, and dragged me to my room. She immediately sat me on the bed, and managed to find the ONLY dress in my closet.

Horrified, I look at the magenta monstrosity; "NO! NOT THE PINK ONE!"

She calmly looked into my eyes and said, "you might as well enjoy being girly while you can; your father will have you start your training soon."

Sometimes I forget that it's a family tradition to practice the study of karate. It's required for the first born child of the Alpha to learn the ways of karate and learn the alpha ways. The better that child is trained, the higher rank the clan is considered.

"Can Bear come too? He's going to be the head fighter one day; he told me himself!" I ask excitedly.

She sighed, "No dear... Bear has to go train with his family. You two have to be apart until its time for your wedding."

"My wedding?" I ask curiously, "I'm marrying bear? But he's my best friend...And he can't take my spot! I won't let him!" I exclaim stubbornly.

She laughs at my stubbornness, "Yes you'll be marrying Bear when you turn 17 just like tradition states. but no he will not take your alpha spot. That position is yours."

"YAY!"I cheer, "I'm going to go tell Bear!"

But alas some memories constantly shift and fade until you can no longer grasp them.
