Ever since that day with Demi I always made sure I made her smile whenever I could.. she was always so tired and I guess she has always been that way, I just never noticed it before..

I walked inside The Bar and strangely, it was already open.. there were already many people inside but all of them were standing up.. I looked at my watch and confirmed that I wasn't late

- Yo, Joe, what's happening?

- Nick! Here, - he said sticking a paper on my chest with the number 20 - you're guy number 20

- What? Why?

- It's speed dating day - he shrugged

- What? No, I'm not going on a speed-

- Everyone leaves with a match, there are 20 girls and 20 guys

- It doesn't matt-

- Demi is number 16

I closed my mouth and punched the counter -  You fucking planned this didn't you? - I muttered

Joe smirked - I'm just giving you guys a little push! Come on, think about the questions and go sit down

I sighed and did as he told me.. I tried to look for Demi and I finally spotted her by the counter alone waiting for the speed dating to start.. Joe went up the stage and picked up the microphone

- Welcome ladies and gentleman to the first speed dating of The Bar - he said on a low voice - there's only 3 rules, girls must switch from table to table towards the front whenever you hear this sound - he says clicking on his phone - rule number two, there's no touching and no backing out - he says winking at me as I rolled my eyes - and finally, rule number three is to have fun! - he said as everyone started clapping

I watched two girls start running towards me, one of them outrunning the other so she sat in front of me - Hi - she smiled in a flirty way

- H-hi.. - I smiled back awkwardly watching Demi go to the opposite end of the tables

- Are you all ready? - Joe asked

He did the countdown and it was go time.. I started speaking with this girl and soon found out she was a little weird.. she was number 2 and she seemed.. uneducated

Her ideals were the complete opposite of mine.. she didn't really know much about anything going on in the world.. she just wanted to talk about animals since she was a vet

This went on along many many girls.. there was one that only talked about satan and worshipped it, there was a girl that practically put her boobs on my face..

There was a girl, number 5 that seemed.. dangerous, but I brushed it off

I did enjoy girl number 18.. she was really nice and very pretty but unfortunately all I could think about was Demi being the next one while we talked

Joe finally rang the bell and I said goodbye to number 18.. I looked up and saw number 16 smile softly while she sat down - Well, well, well number 20, I think we've seen each other before

- Did we? I'm sorry but I don't come here often - I joked making her bust out laughing
