Chapter 14

Pets P.O.V.
My eyes widened as Greg kissed me deeply, I half kissed back, but I felt my body go limp.
And I mean ALL my body.
Do...do I have control??
Greg pulled away to look at my crying eye he moved a lock of hair behind my ear and smiled weakly at me.
No..
He's going to sacrifice himself.
I was utterly shocked.
He loved me?
After all these years he returned my feeling?
I didn't even know he had loved me.
I felt like new wounds were opening again but not wounds.., more like my heart.
I gripped to him in a tight hug I heard Devon, Y/n, Gene and Greg gasp.
They were obviously surprised that I was hugging him with both arms.
My right vision kept flashing red or normal.
Until it settled on normal.
I buried my face into Gregs chest not wanting to let go.
Everyone was silent expect the fighting in the background and my loud sobs.
Greg soon pushed me back out on the hug, gripping my shoulders.
He shifted his head to look at Blaze who was now running straight for the wall, Gorou Inaba behind her.
She looked up at Greg gave a nod and stopped right at the wall.
Gorou appeared in front of Blaze with his weird black muddy appearance.
It's like he was a gob of toxic waste!
But he was in fact a demon when he wasn't in that form.
Out of nowhere Blaze tackled the demon and forcefully opened it mouth wide.
She was in on this?
Blazes P.O.V.
I don't want to do I this.
I never did want to do this.
Who would?
I'm terrified...
Jesus, I'm so pathetic.
Don't let fear take over you idiot.
Once Gorou was in front of me, I tackled it forcefully opening his mouth, holding it open with the remaining strength I have for Greg to sacrifice himself.
I saw his figure stand up but something gripped to his ankle.
Pet?
Is she... not broken any more?
Greg seemed to look down at the person holding his ankle and a few seconds later the person let go and seemed to be begging now.
Greg turned to everyone said something and dived off the wall, a sword appearing in his hand, the sword part looked to be shaped water.
He let out a war cry as he plummeted to his death, I heard the screams of terror up above.
I was crying myself.
I watched my brother fall into the demons mouth the sword stabbing through the demon.
I quickly ran, knowing what will happen.
I was speechless, people ran to get away some were stuck..
I can't  save them...
The demon had a bright light glowing from him and a big, BOOM came after wards.
I had to shield my eyes just so I wouldn't go blind.
Your P.O.V.
I was now crying and Pet gripped on to Gregs ankle.
"Please! Don't! I love you too!! PLEASE!!" She yelled in between sobs.
Greg weakly smiled down at her.
"Pet, I will be with you always, got that? I will be watching over you, I will be your guardian angel. You belong with Kenji anyway. He'll take care of you.
I know he will. Please be strong.. I need to do this." Greg said.
Hesitantly Pet let go of his ankle and started sobbing more.
"I love you Greg...don't forget me..." Pet sobbed.
He continued to smile and than nodded to her.
"Never.." he said shakily.
Pet continued to sob violently.
Greg spooned turned to us.
"Greg..." I mumbled shakily, I gripped Gene tighter, it's like an instinct came in for him to hold me closer.
"I love all of you. Don't forget me, I was doomed from the start to die anyway, I barley survived being born so it's time to have my mission complete.
I love you! And Gene, take care of Y/n please.. all of you be strong." Greg said tears dripping down his face.
"I love you Greg! I'll miss you so much.. don't do this, you were supposed to live on! Don't forget that!!" I yelled at him.
He nodded, and looked at Pet before jumping off the wall, a special water sword appearing in his hand as he lets out a war cry.
"GREEEGGGGG!!!" Pet sobbed, I had to run to her before she jumped off too.
She was fighting against my grip trying to save him, she almost started to bite me.
"Y/N LET GO! I CANT LOSE ANOTHER PERSON I LOVE!! I can't take it.. I wouldn't be able to... Y/n please..." Pet said between choked sobs.
I stayed silent, I was also sobbing and shakily gripping on to Pet.
Bright light shined down below making everyone avert their eyes.
Than a loud BOOM came form below.
A few seconds later, the dust clears seeing Gorou Inaba in his demon form and not that weird beast.
Someone layed a few feet from him.
Sadly my grip had loosened on Pet and she saw the other body.
She jumped down using her wether power to shoot her right to the ground with out dying.
Pets P.O.V.
I skidded across the blood soaked ground, trembling, it started raining washing blood away form the ground and fallen comrades.
I immediately crawled over to the other body, other than Gorou Inaba's
Greg layed there, I touched his arm but it was chilled.
Blood leaked out of him and his clothes were torn, he barley had a shirt.
I cupped his face letting my tears drip on to him.
"Please no.... Greg wake up... I can't lose you... dear Irean please wake up... open your eyes, Greg, Greg, GREG!!!' I sobbed trying to not consider the obvious possibility.
Soon someone touched my shoulder,making me look to see Blaze her hair shaded her face so I couldn't see her expression.
But...
How I felt my blood boil when I saw her.
"YOU HELPED HIM KILL HIMSELF!!" I yelled standing up with my trembling body.
"I'LL KILL YOU!!" I yelled making my weather sword appear in my hand as I tried to slash at Gregs sister.
She blocked me at every single powerful, shaky, tear filled yell and slash of my sword I threw at her.
She soon gripped the sword itself, shattering it.
My eyes widened, is she really that powerful?
Her hands oozed with the red liquid but her arm just fell limply by her side.
"DO YOU EVEN FEEL BAD!?! YOU DONT CARE DO YOU!?! HUH? YOU OBVIOUSLY D-","SHUT UP!" Blaze interrupted me.
She lifted her head so I could see her face.
Never in my life have I ever seen Blaze crying.
Her eyes were red and puffy, tears still fell down her face and her eyes, God damn her eyes were the saddest anyone could've seen, I felt bad for everything I said to her.
Of course she'd care.
"I CARE PET! HE BEGGED ME TO HELP HIM! IM SORRY! IM SORRY I KILLED YOUR SISTER AND IM SORRY I KILLED YOUR LOVER, MAYBE I SHOULD JUST KILL MYSELF TO MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER, MAYBE THE REVENGE OF ME DYING WILL MAKE YOU FEEL HAPPY!!" She yelled making me shut my quivering mouth.
"N-no..." I said quietly, reaching out to her.
She soon out of no where pulled me tightly into a hug, crying into my shoulder, I cried into hers.
I will never forget this day.
