Chapter 4

Your P.O.V.
"How are ya, Y/n? I missed you." My mom said in a weak voice.
I raised my hands to go over my mouth while my eyes widened in happiness.
Tears of joy builded up in the corner of my eyes.
I ran to her side, and looked down at her beautiful face.
Though she's still very ill.
"Mom...."'I whispered.
"Yes darling?" She answered.
"I love you.." I whispered taking her hand in mine.
She let out her low chuckle, that I have always adored.
"You see Y/n, I have managed to find your mother in the kingdom.
I would've asked you but your dad moved her before that big battle." Devon said walking over to us.
"Mrs.L/N and I have been talking and sorting out a plan on how to kill Gorou Inaba, it's been quite difficult to find away so the hero who defeats him doesn't die.. but it seems like there's no other option." Devon said and frowned.
I stayed silent, thinking that... I'll be the one to kill Gorou Inaba.
It doesn't matter if I die, all that matters is he dies.
My head soon perked up when I heard yelling above us.
"What's going on up there?.." mother mumbled to herself.
"Damn guards.. I need to train them better, Y/n.. do you want to come or stay--" he got interrupted by the door creaking open.
A guards head popped in with an apologetic look.
"I-I'm so sorry King Devon! The guards know nothing these days. We seem to have a visitor that wishes to speak with you." The small girl guard squeaked.
"It's fine, bring them in." Devon said, accepting her apology.
She nodded opening the door wider and moved out of the way... I knew straight away from his shiny light blue eyes.
My smile grew and grew, and my heart wanted to leap out of my chest when I saw him.
"Gene!" Devon and I said.
He had a few scrapes on himself, his silky black hair was messed up and a huge gash was on his arm.
He ran to me, wrapping his arms around me, trying not to get blood on me.
"Who, is this?" My mom asked me.
I stiffened and let out a nervous laugh while escaping from Genes embrace.
"Well m-mom, this is my boyfriend, Gene." I said nervously.
"B-boyfriend!?! You've grown up without me!" She cried.
I giggled shaking my head.
"Mom?" Gene repeated raising an eyebrow.
I nodded, "Gene, meet my mother former queen of the L/N kingdom." I said.
"It's a pleasure to meet you queen L/N!" Gene said.
"Please darling, call me Darla." My mother said with a sweet smile.
Gene gave her a nod and a small smile.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him, lifting his arm up.
"Well.. Dante told me what happened, so I told Jack and he told me to go to Devon! But thank Irean you went to Devon too! See what I need from Devon is... Greg and Blaze. Where are they?" Gene asked.
Mother let out a small sigh, "They visited me last week, but sense Gorou is back they've been in a safety shelter.. though my children should be fighting.. they are very talented fighters just like you N/n (Nick name!) !" Mother huffed.
"Would you happen to know where that safety shelter is, Devon?" Gene asked as I examined his gash.
What caught my eye was a hint of black blood..
No..
I gasped quickly letting go of his arm and backing up.
"Huh? What is it Y/n?" Gene asked with a worried look.
He started to step closer to me, "Get back!" I warned him.
He took a step back.
"Something or someone made that Devon! It has black blood!!" I yelped pointing at Genes gash.
My mother and Devon gasped.
"Huh??! What's black blood!?!" Gene asked.
"Black blood is like a poison, and when it gets on other people or demons it poisons them too." I explained.
"I'm p-poisoned!?!" Gene said, looking like he's about to faint.
".. Gene..." Devon said looking him straight in the eye.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"You'll thank me later.." Devon said and before Gene could even speak he started to fall over, I wanted to catch him but... I can make the ground squishy!
I quickly did that before he reached it.
Devon grabbed some gloves and placed them over his hands, he got a small bottle which you would think is just glass but this is indestructible glass, nothing can burn it or smash it.
It's mostly used around the kingdoms for collecting black blood, though demons could use this as weapons, no one dares to.
It's too dangerous!
So demons toss it into fires to burn it out.
It gets rid of fire and the black blood.
Devon carefully used the bottle to scoop up every last bit of black blood before it could seep into his cut.
He fixed up his scrapes and the normal blood that oozed from the gash.
He was still asleep, and I layed beside him, wrapping my arms around his torso.
I nuzzled my head into his side, letting his body warmth warm me up.
That's when Devon held his head in agony.
And slammed his body against the wall for balance.
He gritted his teeth, mumbling a few things, while mother and I stared up at him in worry.
Devon stood up normally now and shook his head.
"No luck trying to find Pet, there's another whole army for Gorou Inaba and they are protecting every inch of this realm to make sure no one gets any funny ideas. So the search party's had to come back.. looks like we're all going out to find Greg and Blaze, then Pet.
I need the strongest people I know. You in?" Devon asked hope in his eyes.
"You dope! Of course I am! We'll get through this, Devon.. don't worry." I said with a sad look.
He gave me a nod and a small smile.
Oh Irean, make sure this goes well...
