Life is so full of surprises
Spreads it's charm in unique ways
Sometimes rain of emotions
Sometimes rainbow of magical rays
Love of my life came to me
With a gift and breathtaking smile
On this new year's eve
I was stunned for a while
He brought me back
To reality, by tapping my shoulder
I was still surprised looking
At my four leaf clover
Moment was awkward
Equally for him, I guess
He was probably searching for
Right words for what he wanted to say
His look was more like mischievous kind
Perhaps he was able to read my pleading eyes
I wanted to know what was in his mind
But sadly it was the moment of saying goodbye
Soon I was left alone
To open the gift with tear filled eyes
A note was staring at me
With flowers, chocolates and fireflies
"I love you my dear
Will you be mine forever?
Turn around and please don't laugh
I'm dying to know what is your answer"
Turning around I found him
Only to get lost in his embrace
Our heartbeats confessed the love
While we both kissed to celebrate
That was the moment
We both stepped into the new year
Life we're ready to live
We'll be together forever
