I come out of my room, ask mom if I can greet the new neighbor, and walked out the door. I talked to her parents and then they told me where the girl's room was. I went up the stairs and found her door and knocked on it.
"Come in, whoever you are!" She said in a weird voice. I opened the door, and I saw her fully for the first time.
"I noticed your Wattpad sign thingie on your small poster," I said, "do you also work on stories on Wattpad?"
"Sometimes." She says, grabbing the diary looking thing out of the box. She looks through it, and she starts sniffiling for some reason. "I think you should go now." She says, pushing me to the door.
"But-"
"You know, it's a big day tommorow, and yeah, so, byee!" She says, shutting the door behind me and locking it. I sighed.
I just wanted to make a new friend!, I think. I put my ear against the door and hear her crying.
"Why am I like this?" I hear her say. "I am never accepted! Why am I like this?!" She says in a weird voice, sobbing. I sigh and walk down the stairs and walk out the door, hands in my pockets. I walk over to my house, and when I open the door, my mom is washing the dishes. I shut the door and mom asks me, "Well, honey, how were the new neighbors?"
"They're.. good, I guess." I sighed.
