I sigh and put on my sunglasses because I know it's going to be a very sunny day. I grab my dark purple scarf (which used to be a light purple, not dark), and grab my backpack. I walk out the door and my arms immediately start to boil. OUCHHHHH, I think. I rush back inside and into my room and grab my sweater and put it on. I go back out the house and go to school. When I get there, everyone looks at me. "What?" I ask. "Nicole, are you crazy!? It's extremely hot out here!" Says my bff, Kia (pronounced Keeya). "I'll tell you later Kia, I promise." I say. "Ok..." I hear Kia mumble.
8 hours later....
Finally, schools over for the day! My phone beeps.
Kia: Can you tell me now?
Me: Ok. I had a new neighbor and she was a vampire, I thought we were friends, but then she bit me, so now I'm a vampire, so I basically burn in daylight.
Kia: That is literally the most stupid excuse I've heard, ever!
Me: But it's true!
Kia: Yeah right. Anyways, I gotta go.
