Chapter Eight: Playful Kids

I walk into Tessa's door and see something moving behind the couch. I walk over to the couch and Tessa jumps up and nearly scares the chicken wings out of me by yelling, "BOO!!!!!!!!!!" so loudly. "AHH!!" I scream. "Buck buck buck buck-caw!!!!" I cluck. Tessa laughs like a maniac and runs up the stairs. "BUCK BUCK BUCK-CAAWW!!!" I cluck some more. I run up the stairs after her, and lose track of her. Where is that little maniac vampire friend of mine?, I think. I hear a door closing, and see a door that's left open a teeny tiny crack. "Dang it..." I hear someone (try to) whisper. I go to the door, open it, and see Tessa standing there, trying to stay frozen like a statue, but I see her mouth is moving a bit. "Helloo, Tessa, or, Statue Tessa. Guess what?" I say. "I see your mouth moving." I whisper in her ear.
"DANG IT!" Tessa says, unfreezing. I laugh, and soon Tessa starts to laugh, too. We go into her room, and I'm surprised that there's a little girl in purple pants five-sizes too big and a pinkish white shirt, also five-sizes too big. Tessa laughs nervously. "Uh, heh heh, she's my little sister." She says.
"Hewwo vere, whoev-ah you aw." The little girl says, waving at me.
"Uhm, hi there little child." I say, waving back. "Why didn't you tell me you had a little sister?!" I whisper in Tessa's ear.
"I wanted to leave her out of the picture 'cause she's suuper annoying." Tessa whispers back.
"You do know I can he-ah you wight?" Amelia says, with a small frown on her small face.
"Shoot." Tessa says. I laugh a bit, then introduce myself to the little girl.
"Hi, I'm Nicole, nice to meet you!" I say.
"I'm Amelia. How aw you?" Amelia says.
"I'm fine." I say. Suddenly, my phone beeps.
Mom: Where are you?!
Me: At Tessa's house. Duh.
Mom: Come back here now!
"Tess, I got to go. My mom says." I say. She waves goodbye to me, so does Amelia, and I head out the door.
