(Narrator's POV)

Sans steps up onto snow covered steps, not bothered by the frigid conditions of Snowdin. Skeletons don't have any skin after all, as Sans would constantly make puns about. He smiled a bit more genuinely at the thought. Sighing, he lightly pushed open the front door, cold air rushing in. The house was nice and warm, Papyrus must've had the fireplace going. Speak of the devil, Sans can see sparks flying about in the kitchen.

'Hm, he must be making spaghetti. Would make sense, does this every reset.' Sans shut the door, entering the living room.

'Anddd, now it's time for my scheduled nap.' Sans headed up the stairs, entering his mess of a room.

The warmth of his bed was rather inviting, as usual. One of the only escapes he could ever get really.

Meanwhile, in the other room, Papyrus had finished making spaghetti early. He recalled how Sans would usually eat at Grillby's before he got home and would save the spaghetti for the next morning.

"Hmmm... it would be rather nice to have a little extra time to search for humans before the lights set. And Sans never eats this yet anyways. So, I'm sure he won't mind me putting this away for later. He'll probably even appreciate I didn't wake him from his nap!" Papyrus smiled to himself, putting the charred spaghetti away for another day and heading out the door.

When Sans woke up again, the lights were rather subdued, showing it was later into the evening. Possibly even 8. Sans slowly sat up, trying to process why his brother hadn't woken him like every reset before. It rubbed him the wrong way, but he tried to think of a logical possibility.

"Maybe he justttt... got busy?" Sans tried to convince himself, getting up, one of his slippers falling onto the ground carelessly as he exited his room.

All the lights were off, which made Sans shiver a bit. Even if Papyrus was busy, he never liked having the lights off, he had a night light for a reason.

"Uh, Paps?" Sans called out, to no response.

He lightly knocked on Papyrus' door, before it slowly slid open. Papyrus was not there either.

He checked the usual place where Papyrus would ALWAYS leave a note if he were to "unexpectedly" have an errand to run. No note. Sans felt uneasy now, why would his brother suddenly break a pattern he had been keeping for so many resets? He looked over at the clock, realizing it was 10 pm. WAY past the usual time Papyrus would be out and about.

"Welp. Guess my nap's gonna have to wait." He threw up his hood as he exited, the snow coming down considerably harder than when he had arrived.
