Papyrus spaced after a while of quietly chatting with Sans.  Though, snapping his eyes open at a sound, he found himself in the middle of Snowdin.  The sound echoed around him, footsteps.  He looked to where the human should be approaching.  Frisk of course.

But the human who did come he didn't recognize.

Their cheeks were dusted a pale pink, in almost perfect circles.  Their skin even paler.  The hair atop their head had been a difference from Frisk's brown, rather a pinkish red.  The most startling part were their eyes.  Their irises shown a bright red, with unnatural slit pupils.  A smile plastered on their face also sent chills through his spine.  They had on a green jumper, with a single yellow stripe.  Yet their form and age seemed so similar to Frisk, he could've thought he had been seeing things.

"Frisk?"  Papyrus called uncertainly.

The being laughed, it had been rather pretty, if not laced with malice and hate.

"Not quite."  The being took a step towards Papyrus, their smile spreading farther.

Papyrus couldn't quite place why he felt so uncomfortable.  He averted his eyes, trying to get a shaky smile.

"You're afraid, and here I thought the great Papyrus was brave."  They laughed once more, their sharp teeth visible for a few moments.

"I-I AM NOT AFRAID!  THE GREAT PAPYRUS IS NEVER SCARED!"  He protested, but flinched back when they took another step towards him.

"Look, bonehead.  I have visited you for a reason."  They smile a knowing grin at him.

Strangely, it reminds him of his brother in a way.

"W-WELL!  GET ON WITH IT THEN!!"  He did his best not to show weakness in his voice.

They took a few more steps, before stopping directly in front of him.  They stood still, before reaching up to his scarf and yanking his head down to their level.

"You know, Sans remembers too.  And you've really been scaring him lately.  I'd suggest being a good brother and playing along.  Wouldn't want to, alter the timelines now, would we?"  They smelled of chocolate, and strangely some flower.

"W-Who are you..."  Papyrus trailed off.

Their smile widened a little too far for comfort.

"You really are an i d i o t."  Their laughs echoed about.

Papyrus stared in confusion, before being roughly shoved.  He felt himself fall through the ground, and float around in the nothingness.  Around him floated memories, broken timelines.  Supposedly forgotten ones.  Then, he heard a distinct sound.

But he couldn't quite name the source.
