Maddie's POV
The bright lights turned on and I squinted my eyes so they can adjust, especially after sitting in the dark for I don't know how long. My eyes soon focused on the situation at hand and I could see the man who had taken me from my home. He had the same white hockey mask on his face which he would not reveal.
He unlocked the chain that was wrapped around my ankle and my heart started to race, what was he going to do to me next? I had lost track of time, I can't remember what it was like to be outside with fresh air and a nice breeze. I don't know if it is day or night out, I don't know what time it is or what month or day we are in. I was trapped in a dark room with no windows and no way out. And I have been trapped in here for a long time.
The man with the hockey mask has kept me here for so long, only giving me scraps of food once a day and only one small glass of water. It was all I had. I was still in the clothes that I had worn the night this man took me. I haven't showered in days or months or seen my reflection in the mirror.
The man forced me up to my feet and he basically had to drag me to wherever he was taking me because I was far too weak to even move. The man in the hockey mask has done things to me that I don't even want to remember. He has raped me, beaten me, and tortured me. I couldn't think of a reason why I deserved any of this.
It has gotten to the point where I have given up. I knew that I was going to be stuck here for the rest of my life. I knew that I was never going to see my family or friends again. I knew that I was never going to see Emily again and that broke me. For a while, Emily was the reason why I kept trying to stay alive but now, I no longer saw a point in living.
"Stand up, bitch" The man in the hockey mask said to me and I obeyed. I did my best to stand up straight and hold myself up. I looked around the room and I knew this room all to well and I knew that I was up for some serious pain.
He stood up on a chair and brought down a chain from the ceiling which he used to cuff my hands above my head. I winced as he threw the chair to the side and he stood in front of me, grabbing my face so I could look at him. I wanted to rip that mask off his face to see who he really was but I was too scared to do that. I almost did not want to know what was under that mask.
He stripped me bare naked and as my skin was exposed, my body began to shiver. He then walked over to a table and picked something up and walked over to me and my eyes widen to see what he was holding. In his hand was an electric baton, "Scream for me" he whispers and the high voltage of the baton hit my skin and pain went through my body and I screamed in agony.
I screamed until I no longer could and every time he hit me, my skin would burn. He hit me again, and again, and again, until he was satisfied. He dropped the baton and left the room, leaving me alone in the dark. My bare bodied shivered and my arms that were tied over my head were so tired.
A single tear rolled down my cheek as I stared at the ground. If this is how I am going to say good bye to the world, then let it be.
