okay i'm going to go into detail about some of the issues i've been running into, and if any of you can relate or have been having the same problems let me know !! ooor if you have a solution definitely hit me up.
okay here's my list:
1. if i edit a chapter after its been published, it deletes any comments i got (not actually deletes them, but like unattaches them from the text they were commented on). i get that if i type a paragraph and edit that specific part that the comment would leave bc it makes sense.
like if i wrote: "FRIENDS is a gr8 show",
and a bunch of people commented "yea i agree",
then edited it to say "FRIENDS is a sucky show",
that wp would remove the comments bc then it looks like the commenters agreed to something they didn't.
but my wp is being stupid and if i edited a sentence or paragraph way above or below an area where people commented it will still remove comments from other places. LIKE WTF DUDE.
2. wp won't let me post on other people's profiles. which i don't do a lot anyways, but like sometimes i do. so it's super frustrating that i can't. i just get some message being like "error your message couldn't be completed". um, crude, i have rights.
3. OKAY THIS IS IRKING ME THE MOST. so i published chapter 10 of my the 100 book "hiraeth" last night. then it was stupid because even though i published it, it wasn't showing up so i had to "publish" it like 3 times before it seemed to work. then it was like showing up for some people and not others.
anyways, overnight it got some super nice comments and stuff (thank you all) and as i was reading and responding to them i noticed that when i edited it, i had accidentally overlooked a couple super minor mistakes )like i put "i" instead of "it" for example). so i was like this is super annoying, imma fix it.
so ya gurl went in and fixed up the little mistakes and republished it, and ofc all the comments got unattached ( thx wp ) but i was like it's worth it for the proper grammar lol. sac the bod right ? BUT i go back to read over it and even though i'd saved and published the edited version, it just reverted back to the version with the mistakes. and in my revision history there wasn't even evidence that i had fixed it. so i fixed the mistakes again, saved it again, and published it again...it seemed to work, so i was like okay this is good all is right in the world.
then i go out to a cafe, i live life and stuff. when i get home i check wp and i got some more notifications on the new chapter and i'm reading thru them and i noticed all the comments that had disappeared were back and i was like HOLY IT'S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE. then i looked closer, and the stupid little mistakes were back too. the same mistakes i'd edited, saved, and republished TWICE.
4. wp is also trying to troll me and is hiding other people's book chapters from me. like for example the loml seamechanic updated her book "pandora". (READ IT ITS LIT AF) i read the new chapter and it was sO good bc she's a writing goddess so ofc i commented and voted and everything. gabie, being the gem she, is commented back and when i clicked on her response it took me to the first chapTER of her section(even though i'd commented on the last one)???1????111?1? then when i looked her chapter is sill there, but wp swerved me.
5. yesterday whenever i tried to add a gif to a chapter, it either just didn't show up, or it would delete all the text!?!?
6. i've published this chapter probably like 4 times and every flipping time it just deletes it. like...okay? u mad i'm trying to exposé you wp? me and This_CraZy_World are onto you. come at us.
