After Ji's news you mostly stayed in your room, only coming out to eat and hang out with her.

She worried about you, but you tried telling her that you were alright.

You haven't told her, just in case you couldn't make it happen, but you were looking for a job in Korea. It was a risky move, but besides Ji, you didn't have any good friends in America. Your mom was doing well and you promised that you'd visit her over the summer and winter if you did end up leaving. She supported you, and that made you happy.

With your knowledge of Korean, you weren't worried about being some clueless foreigner, or getting lost or anxious when asking for directions. You just needed to worry about finding a job you're qualified for.

Afterlooking for a while, you sighed, shutting your laptop somewhat forcefully. You leaned your head on the wall behind you, the pillows cushioning your back. You felt your throat go tight—you felt like crying again.

You shook your head, forcing a smile and mumbling a few words of encouragement to yourself, but was interrupted by your phone.

"Hey, Jin," you sniffed, wiping your nose with a tissue.

"Hey...what's wrong?"

You laughed, "If I tell you, I'll cry again."

"Again?" he stressed, "Come on, (Y|N), tell me what's wrong.

You sniffed again, "Ji—she has to move to Korea. She's leaving in a few days. I'm just a bit sad..."

He sighed, "I'm sorry she's leaving."

You chuckled dryly, "I don't really have any close friends, so it'll be tough when she's gone. I don't even know how long she'll be gone, or if she'll even come back—What if she never comes ba—"

Jin shushed you as you felt yourself crying again, "Shh...It's okay...Shh...I'm sure she'll be back, she's your best friend."

You smiled through your tears, "You think?"

"Definitely."

You chuckled again, "I was thinking of going with her, just for a few days or so—our last trip together I guess."

You could practically see Jin smile, "Then we could meet up! If you have the time of course."

You sniffed, "Yeah, it seems like all my friends are gathering in Korea now."

Jin apologized again.

You grinned, "You're sweet, but I know it's not your fault."

"But I'm still sorry. I care about you (Y|N). I just want to fly over to America and go give you a hug and I want to see you smile and hear your laugh in person. I just want to make sure you're okay."

You grew flustered, "Jin...that's so sweet...I...I don't know what to say..."

There was a moment of silence before you spoke up, "Jin, you really make me happy. You always know how to make me smile when I'm sad...and you always have time for me even when you're really busy."

You sniffed again, but this time you were overflowing with happiness.

"사랑해."

He responded almost immediately.

"I love you too."
