Tofer
I glanced at her for the tenth time. She's busy looking at her menu. I almost memorized her angelic face, the perfect slope of her nose, those astounding brown eyes that once she locked her eyes on you, you felt drowning into her looks, plus her sweet smile and endearing voice.
I immediately divert my eye on the menu when she turned to the waitress and put down her menu book.
"I'll take Classic lasagna with Béchamel sauce and blueberry cheesecake." She ordered handing back the menu to the waitress. As Marky saying his orders I looked at her again and noticed that she's playing the ring on her finger.
"And for you Mr.?" the waitress asked cutting me from checking Lauren, and I said my order right away. Five minutes of listening to the awkward silence our orders finally came.
"So Marky how's school?" I began.
"It was fine" he said smiling. "And I'm very excited to tell my friends that you and Zeek signed my basketball and also having a dinner with Christopher Tan Meddler" he exclaimed.
"How did you know my full name?" I asked. "Google" he shrugged.
"Google knows a lot" Lauren interjected, Marky nods.
"I don't think so" I said, she frowned in confusion.
"Uh, yes. Because I haven't searched anything about you having a girlfriend" I laughed with Marky's remark.
"I don't have girlfriend"
Lauren almost choked and now it's her turn to laugh from what I say. "Just a lot of friends where basically girls" I added.
"Well aunt Lauren do have boyfriend, she's about to get married but --"
"Marky!" Lauren stopped him and let out a sigh. As she stood up. "I'll-I'll just go the comfort room" without looking at us she turned her back then walk away.
She's really sensitive with that topic. Should I feel guilty now? But I told her that I will help her. I should be the man of my words.
Minutes passed Lauren came back.
"Are you guys done?" she asked. Marky and I both nod and smiled. Her lonely face a while ago beamed.
"You have something on your teeth" she said pointing her finger at her teeth.
"I-I just go to men's room" I said scratching my head.
"Ok we'll wait for you outside" she said grinning.
I pay the bill and headed to the men's room. I felt embarrassed back there, but my worries lessen as I saw her smiled.
I headed to the parking lot and saw them talking as if Lauren giving lectures to Marky.
We reach their house in no time.
"Tomorrow is Saturday right? Can you come over and play basketball with me? Please?" Marky requested as he take off his seat belt.
"Sure" I said and went off the car to open the door for Lauren.
"See you tomorrow then" I continued and smiled.
Hopefully she smiled "Thank you again, for taking us home safely" she said before she went inside their house.

Lauren
I'm just lying on my bed staring at my wedding dress in front of my walk in closet. I didn't have a good sleep last night; his words keep on playing in my head.'Not ready to be a wife?' what he meant by that? I hate him for leaving me but I still love him, I can't hate him at the same time love him. Ugh! This drives me crazy.
