I'm so sorry for the late updates. I know I've apologised before.

"What?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!!!!" I yell at him.

"Excuse me but you seem to forget that I'm royalty and you're treating me like a peasant."

"But... how...?" I'm at an utter loss for words. My whole life, a lie...

He sighs,"you're mum isn't like you."

"...Sooooooooooo she's like you...?"

He nods.

"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

Dramatically, he sighs.

"So I'm a half-breed?"

"Kind of... I suppose."

"Can I see her?"

"Not really..."

"Please I won't cause any trouble"

"She's not here in the tank."

"Ohhh"

"That's all I wish to say about it to a human."

"But I'm half of you..." I trailed off, noticing how bad my sentence sounded.

He laughed. He was close to me now, only about a half a foot of distance between us.

I scowled at him. Already, I could see the similarities between human boys and allyzi boys. He abruptly cuts off his laughter. "We have to get you home before your father notices you're gone."

"But I want to hear the rest of..." Wait, how does he think he's going to get me home?

"What?" he says, staring into my eyes. I feel his touch on my right shoulder but immediately dismiss it.

"How are you going to take me home?" he looks at me like I was a stupid kindie.

"Well," he says in a gooey voice, now his touch is on my face, "we are going to swim,"

"How?"

"Exactly what you're doing now,"

I gasp. I can't believe it! He's unhooked me from the machines and now I'm floating. Through the water, swimming is a bit more accurate. I'm... probably not dead. But who knows? Unless someone's come back from the dead that I don't know about, (not that they would tell anyone) then no one knows what death feels like. I can't believe this is really happening. He has tamed me like a puppy dog, being fed treats and patted when she'd done a trick correctly or behaved by not peeing n the new carpet.

I can't believe how easy it comes to me. Kind of like breathing, you just get the hang of it without trying. Breathing, easy for most.

"But I want to stay," I argue.

"You can't. Your dad will worry."

"Bu" he cuts me off.

"No!"

"Fine," I huff, I'm coming back anyway. For sure.

"No questions on the way. Promise?"

"Fine," I give in, making my plans for when I come back. He looks at me with his gorgeous ocean eyes and I know I could stare at him all day. But I think he's trying to talk to me silently. I...

"Come on. Let's go."

"Okay" I say, still grumbling.

"You heard me?" His face reads shock and surprise.

Utterly.

"Yes... of course I heard you. You said it aloud."

"Of course I did." He shakes his head. He's dodging the topic. I know it.

A long eerie silence fills the small room and he just stares at me, the same way as before but... this time reads a new emotion added... frustration... longing... Wait?! What!? He stares at me more intensely, but I don't hear anything this time. He sighs in frustration, breaking the silence.

I didn't even realise I was holding my breath until my lungs feel hot and Rysk clears his throat. I let out the breath, trusting the cold water to find the oxygen in the water.

I shake my head, this is crazy!

ALL OF IT.

"Let's go," he says.

I shake my head and hold my breath. None of this is real and I'm determined to prove it. My cheeks puffed up and I squeezed my nostrils.

Rysk sighs," there's really no need for that, Coral."

I don't respond, due to holding my breath.

"Coral," he swims closer, reaching for my hands. I yank them out of his reach.

"Fine," he huffs, "But I assure you, there's no need."

My lungs get hot. Then they're on fire, an ember at first. Then a massive bonfire. Rysk just sits there, waiting for me to explode. His eyes are hard as he watches me, obviously in a far away place. My vision darkens around the edges and my determination clouds.

What am I holding my breath for anyway?..... I snap myself back to the present. Because otherwise ill die. i said to myself answering my own question.

Rysk snaps out of his dreary daze.

"That's enough. I've heard of human determination but this is ridiculous."

He lunges toward me, getting to me before I can comprehend what he's about to do. He yanks my hands away from my nose and mouth, clutching them in his own.

I open my mouth, out of desperation.

I'm sooooo dead now.

I wait for my air to cut off, to take my final breath, to be all cleshae and have my life flash before my eyes. Rysk stares at me impatiently. But none of that happens.

I'm breathing... damn I've gone crazy.

"You have not gone crazy, Coral."

"I... I ..."

Rysk is obviously uncomfortable, how did he hear me? And how the hell do I hear him?

I look all around the room, staring at the water that now fills my lungs, not in wonder or amazement just pure insanity.

My eyes fall on Rysk. I stare at him and he stares back, the urgency visible in his eyes.

"Come on" he says, still staring at me. When I don't move, he pulls me off the bed and drags me toward the bolted door. He knocks five times.

"Lido, please slip the blindfold under the door."

Lido, I think that was the 'doctors' name.

"Wait, blindfold?"

"Yes, you're human. If you got one glance at our city you would never want to leave," he says, "you prised no questions"

"Bu..."

"Shut it," he warns.

I keep my mouth shut after that.
