"I told you we should have taken her memories if here away. Then she would never have risked her coming back here."
"Yes but sire then it would have been even harder on her when she found out about Callum."
"At least then she wouldn't risk coming back HERE!!!" a familiar voice was yelling but I couldn't recognise it.
My mind was fuzzy and I could barely understand what they were saying. Both the voices were familiar...
I'd definitely heard them before...
"Sire, she's stirring, should we continue this discussion outside your majesty?"
"No, leave me, i wish to speak with her."
"Yes, of course, sire."
I hear a door open then shut quietly. Opening my eyes, I'm met with a blinding light. And Rysk.
"Good, you're awake I was getting worried. WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING COMING BACK HERE??!!"
"I-I-iiiiii...." What is he? Bipolar?
Why was he worried about me?
Me?
"Your in so much danger, right now, Coral! If I hadn't been on patrol because everyone else is away, you would've died!" I reached my hand up to feel my forehead gently and was surprised to find a sticky substance there. When I brought my hand back down to study the substance I saw red.
Red...
Blood.
"That's your mothers mark, she was here earlier... she told me to tell you she loved you."
"You people show your affection by puncturing innocent children?"
"It's not a puncture mark"
"Then what is it?"
"Allyzian... makeup? Is that how you say it? Makeup?"
"Yeah..."
"Ohhh good, Lido told me that you say makeout"
"Uh...." I stuttered. He seemed nervous and embarrassed. I noticed that I was in a different room to last time. This room had warmth, if that's possible in the ocean, and it was massive. It was themed like the sky, with a shining sun in one corner and light rain clouds in the other. As I look back to him, his gaze is on the room. then the lightbulb goes off, hes probably never seen the sky before. Or rain or the sun.
Imagine having never felt raindrops on your skin, saturating your clothing and hair but making you laugh hysterically.
Imagine never having being warmed by the sun, feeling it melt your back and dry the grass.
Wow.
I can't believe I never thought of that before, especially since he's so pale...
"What are you thinking about?"
"The sun and the rain,"
"My grandfather was very proud of painting this room just for me. So that I could admire the mainland. He painted it in the first few weeks of my infancy, I'm still fascinated by the mural."
"Will you ever get to see the sun? Or the rain?"
"Probably not. I guess that's why he made this mural for me."
At this point in time, out faces are extremely close, I'd say that there's only two or three centimetres between. And suddenly, I want him to kiss me.
Instead he leans away, and my cheeks flare. Beetroot, I think. Tomato would be easier to recover from though. *sigh*
I still crave his touch.
Even after my cheeks have died down.
"Why did you come down here, Coral?"
Can i even trust him?
" I was running away."
I decide that I can kinda half trust him, so I just won't tell him the full truth.
"From what?"
"My brother and my father."
"Why?"
"They want me to move away from the aquarium..."
"What?"
