She replayed it over and over in her mind. The lion. August or Caspian as they call him. Her wife. "I'm sorry Regina." Sorry didn't do anything. Sorry wasn't about to save her wife's life. Belle hadn't gotten a word out of the brunette since they'd left the castle. She wished she'd have just gone to find Henry herself.
"Regina." The voice came from the woman on the horse behind. Turning around, she wanted so much to be able to smile or give belle some gesture. Blank. Her face, her dreams, her wants all of them blank. All she was running on was determination, stone cold determination. "We're here." Looking up the people seemed to touch the sky but Regina wasn't scared as she soothed her horse begging it to be calm.
Throwing rocks around like it we're sport. No, not rocks. Boulders. Things the size of houses being thrown around like it were a friendly game of catch. "Oi!" The loud mouthed brown yelled upto wards them as one of the chubbier giants bent down to sniff her. "I demand an audience with you!" Regina's beautiful demanding tone was something no one could deny no matter how big or small the person may be.
~~~Meanwhile~~~
Henry tried using as much knowledge as he could but they appeared to be going in zig zags. "This is pointless!" Grace huffed and puffed following at Henry's heels. "I don't like confined spaces." Puddleglum gulped again trying to keep his eyes on the sky gasping the air from above. "Puddleglum, lift me up." The Marshwiggle helped the small boy up onto the rocks. Once over Henry held out a hand to Grace, laying down and hooking his feet onto the other side of the wide wall. Once over it took both of them to haul Puddleglum upwards.
Out of the strange place they continued their journey. Turning the corner they spied the most beautiful woman. Her hair kissed by fire, big brown eyes that had seen a thousand lifetimes. He silky green dress flowing in the wind as she sat upon her horse with a dark knight behind her. Henry paused placing his arms out protectively. "Excuse me." She let out a large patronising grin as she looked down upon him. "Well well aren't you the little gem and your girl is quite the beautiful one and oh, ugh." She pulled a disgusted face looking towards Puddleglum and his mossy face.
"Excuse me miss, I was wondering if you'd be so kind to direct us to the giants?" With a large smile she pulled that wide face again turning around looking up the hill. "Why boy, you're upon their drive way now." Looking upwards the three of them had only just noticed the castle standing before them. It was magnificent, something worthy of a god or goddess. Just the very sight made them weak just to be stood within it's presence. "Tell them you're on your way for the autumn feast, they should treat you accordingly." Smiling they thanked the woman and continued up towards the beautiful building.
Walking in they we're instantly hurried to the court room faced with the king and queen. They sat with their backs straight looking prim and proper. Bowing Henry and Puddleglum seemed humbled, taking their leave grace curtsied. "Aww can we keep them father?" The little prince asked looking down upon them like dolls. The king simply shook his head. "We're here for the autumn feast." Henry's voice spoke loudly and proudly like he knew what he was talking about. Instantly they were given warm beds, food like a mountain and fresh clothing.
~~~Giant Audience~~~
Regina crunched her teeth together trying to keep her words to a minimum hoping the giants understood their situation. "True love, that's beautiful." One of the older lady giants spoke sounding convincing. Regina bowed her upper body as she looked to them desperately for their help. "There are two types of Giants in the North, the kind that enjoy people and eat trees. Then there's the kind that enjoy people and eat them." The tallest of them gave a hearty laugh as his head tilted back and their eyes seemed menacing. Belle clutched onto Regina's side as the older woman was ready to bring out the fire.
