chapter 15

"Dear lord I ask you to watch over everyone that's sitting at this table, I ask that you allow us to bring my granddaughter home safely, you say no weapons formed against us shell prosper, I asked that you shield ,keep us and cover us. Amen."

The room filled with amens after Jerald ended his prayer. Everybody was geared up and ready to go. Each person was given two guns a piece.

"Shawn,David,Rj and Tyreek I wanna thank y'all so much for doing this for us you can't find to many friends whose willing to put their life on the line to help out another friend. Rashawd and I really appreciate it and I know Aslyn would as well, but to show our dedication and appreciation I've taken forty G's out of my own money and split it between y'all"

Melodi said as she handed them each a duffle bag filled with money.

"It's more appreciation where that came from I'll show y'all the rest once we have Aslyn."

All the guys stood up and thank'd Melodi.

"The van outside." Rashawd said as he came in dressed in all black.

"Ight y'all let's do this it's time for lil A to come home." Tyreek said as him and the guys got loaded into the van.

"I love you dad" Melodi said as she hopped in the passenger seat of Rashawd's all black Corvette.

"I love you too baby girl ,I wanna see my granddaughter and all of y'all return safely home."

Melodi decided it was best if Jerald stayed home with Nina and the kids. At first Jerald faught against but Melodi talked him into staying.

"You will dad!"

Rashawd pulled out the driveway and the black van that held the rest of the squad followed. The ride was about forty five minutes long.

"You still upset with me?" Melodi asked as she turned down the radio.

Rashawd just looked at her and shook his head no as he slowed up for the red light that was ahead.

Melodi looked down at her lap then out the window even though she could barely see, it was pitch dark and the 5% tint wasn't making anything better.

Rashawd just stared at her, he admired his wife in so many ways. Melodi was everything to him.

The light hit green and Rashawd pressed the gas leading them to the park.

It was extremely dark all you heard were Owls and the engine of Rashawd's corvette until he turned it off.

"What time is it?" Melodi asked.

"2:50" Rashawd said as he took off his seatbelt. Melodi switched the time to 3 instead of 8 because she couldn't afford anybody innocent getting hurt.

"Lets head out into the park." Melodi said as she tied up her hair opening up the door.

"Tyreek, Shawn and Rj remember the plan. Y'all stay outta eye site just pop anybody y'all see. Make sure ya guns are on silent. David come with us." Rashawd said as he closed the door to the van.

Walking into the park Rashawd grabbed Melodi's hand stopping her as he pulled her in for a kiss.

"I love you and I appreciate you. You have been by my side and just in case som-" Melodi cut him off by placing a kiss apon his lips.

"Tell me later after we have Aslyn." Melodi said as she grabbed his hand and took their positions. Melodi knew Rashawd was about to give her a speech about if he don't make it but Melodi didn't want to hear it because she knew they all was going back home safely.

"I love you too." Melodi said as she watched a black Escalade pull up.
